This is a small review of some of the lasers I just bought recently. Sorry but I don't care about wearing those safety goggles like some people do. Lol.

Great comment about looking down the beam. It will seem like people for miles around will see if you shoot one of these things into the sky. Go as little as a 100 feet to the side, and the beam will disappear. The more moisture in the air, the farther you are going to have to move off axis.

I'm 34 now but my first laser I was in 7th grade and I saved for months to buy the slim line lx1100 radioshack red laser. I'm not sure what ever happened to it but I bought the same model on eBay for nostalgic reasons. Owned several lasers since then.

Sanwu Pocket series is the shit, I've got a 405nm 500mW too, it's my favorite, and a 488nm cyan 100mW (puts out 160 lol) which is just gorgeous. Also have a 5 watt Sanwu Striker 470nm bright blue, a Silver series 1 watt 638nm red, and a Guardian II 1 watt 520nm green. Also have a Dragon Lasers Spartan series 1 watt 450nm blue, and a 30mW Spartan series 589nm amber yellow, probably my weakest but most favored laser, also most expensive per Watt, at $13 per mW, compared to $0.10 per mW of my Sanwu 5 Watt (actual peak output is 5,112 mW). Once you get the bug, you can kiss your money goodbye lol. I've spent just shy of $3k on lasers this last year, I got the bug bad lol. Watch your wallets boys, these things will snatch your money like a pro.

@@drewpeters6069 you'll get the most bang for your buck with 440-450nm blue lasers. The strongest production laser pointer you can buy (that I know of) is a Sanwu Striker series 450nm blue at 7.5 watts, but if you know a thing or two about lasers you could find a Nichia NUBM31T diode and associated driver to assemble a 95 Watt laser at home...

I have the 3 watt striker from sanwu and it's no joke, definitely use protective glasses for the higher end ones, I was seeing spots just from shining in at the wall and looking at the dot.
@martinstahle2006 Жыл бұрын
Yes, but it is normal to see yellow spots when looking at a blue laser spot. I ve one with 1100 mW, and it´s the same. Eye protection is a good measure, if you do close range experiments with your laser like burning or if there is a risk that something may reflect. But if you want to look at the effect of a Laserbeam in the air, you wouldn´t see it anymore with the eye protection.

is the laser 304 100mw 405nm sanwu laser good?
@superdriver7775 жыл бұрын
I am jonesing for a Sanwu, but cannot decide what to get. I already have a 1 Watt 445nm, and a few 50-100mW 532nm lasers. Which is your favorite? I am partial to either a powerful 405nm, or a not-so-powerful but more unusual wavelength between 473nm and 520nm. The real question I have, actually, is which one has the smallest beam divergence when focused to infinity? I know it depends on the diode and such, so disregarding the power level, which one has the tightest beam and smallest dot when unfocused?
@digitaldazzle58365 жыл бұрын
superdriver777... The best one I’ve seen so far is the 1 watt 520mn and the 1.6 watt 405nm. I know they’re a bit expensive but they are the tightest beam divergence I’ve seen so far.
