A moment I've been waiting for! Finally after a few months of working on this remote shed build, it is finally done. Well, ok, I'm slightly twisting that - it is pretty much done 😉. I have just a few final finishing touches to do both on the inside and the outside, which I will do, and then reveal another time.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out overall. It's a little goofy looking, but has character! What I love most about it is the fact that I barely spent any money on it - I have no idea, but would say I spent no more than $300 on it. I purchased some 1x4 boards (which almost weren't necessary), the plywood for the door, and nails and screws. I used a lot of my own milled lumber, salvaged/free/repurposed materials, and materials from the land (the round wood framing).
With this shed being pretty much done, my next and main project for the upcoming months is the CABIN ON THE CLIFF!!!! Who's excited for that?!?!?! (ok, but I always have a few things going on, so bare with me 😉).
Much love to you all, and thank you so much for watching 💝
I have a special video coming out next, so see you again soon. ❤️‍🩹

That little shed is very cool, and you are right, it needs a deck, and that is an absolute imperative for making the space functional, in a lot of ways, because without that extra square footage, the usefulness of the shed becomes very limited. Very nice job! Thanks for sharing!!

I love your videos it is pure joy to watch you problem solve, persevere, and dance for joy at a job well done. Your tenacity is wonderful to see. I have to laugh sometimes when Steve watches you work I can't tell if it's pride or pain. As if he is indulging you in more crazy antics or just really admiring his Honey doing more cool stuff. The black makes that door pop and really sets it off ( visual frame) your sense of design is remarkable. Thanks for putting in the time making these vids. Now I've got to put down my coffee and get busy!

OK. I'm in love with the chipmunk. That said, your "shed" is gorgeous! Quite simply a work of art. I love your creativity and I so envy your patience with the process. I'm constantly trying to balance my ADD with my OCD lol and patience is not one of my virtues but I'm constantly working on it. Tho I'm very patient when working on my music, I feel like I try to rush everything else. I'm working on that. When I watch you work and just continue to pick away at the process so to speak, it has a calming effect. I do remind myself to enjoy the process when I'm doing things and I guess that's where the patience with music comes in since I enjoy that immensely. I so love your channel! Beautiful quirkiness!!

Michy, thank you for not storking the chainsaw cut and getting the C-clamp to hold your work piece down instead of your foot! Yikes, you remind me of me in the shortcuts we think we can take (which we can 9 out of 10 times). //. Your vision for the eclectic use of materials has resulted in a structure that belongs in that environment and is extremely pleasing to my eye - so many shapes, lines and materials that work together. Brava!

When I view the finished project, I visualize how you might doll it up for special occasions ( thanksgiving, halloween, valentines day, etc.) I wouldn't be surprised if you spent more time in there than the cabin when it is complete. It looks like a great location to shut the door and contemplate.
