"e" is actually "e" or "ɛ" or "ə"- so it's quite correct but English speakers do not understand the Latin alphabet😉

I don't use Pinyin anymore. I just listen to how the word is pronounced using my ear and copy the pronounciation. The only time I use it is when I type Chinese on my phone/computer but I am thinking of learning Zhuyin because its faster

That's why i don't like pinyin. It's very confusing to me. Even after 4 years i often have to think twice. Otherwise my mind will read it as German. I'm glad i learned zhuyin because its not confusing, the rules are simpler and i can ask Taiwanese people to help me write down pronunciation 😊

Sometimes people are surprised I learned zhuyin and are impressed. But compared to learning Chinese characters, learning the couple ㄅㄆㄇㄈ symbols is no problem at all 😅

And I would say only if you are a mandarin teacher, otherwise Taiwanese people don’t know Pinyin at all.

@@ceciliachenchinese Shows the Japanese influence on Taiwan, even the Taipei Metro and railway system is very Japanese influenced as well.
