Your right about people sugar coating it. People may think you are being negative when you say that but once the holiday feeling is gone, and you realise there isn’t really that much to do there on a day to day basis you struggle to keep your Western mind satisfied and busy with interesting things to do. In other words it can get a bit boring. 👍

@@ezyfinda for me the Philippines will make a perfect six months per year vacation mode part of my retirement but after looking very closely and experiencing a hell of a lot there I am honest enough with myself to accept full-time living there would not suit me. That may change in the future, but that’s how I feel now but 20 years to make a final decision. The jury is out. Things like the healthcare concern me to be honest.

Most foreigners. Most. Not all. But most come to the Philippines for the cheap cost of living. I’m from the states and it is cheaper. But. It’s different. Very very different. I live here now and if I can’t handle it. I’ll leave. Just like I’d tell a phillipino to leave the states if he couldn’t handle it.

Your holding out for reconciliation when most men would have left by now that says a lot about your determination but guys 1 year of no speaking is not healthy and John, you must feel deflated after building your dream home. A home is meant to be a sanctuary for all who live in it. Praying for you all that you find love and peace for the blessings of finding one another and building a home that most Filipinas will never experience. Life is for living. Don’t let the devil in. We'll find out ways it's just perseverance and determination, and yes still working each day on the house new shop area is almost completed🤗♥️

Been there 3 times now (Philippines), It certainly is not paradise, I can vouch for that, although where I went to stay was not a tourist area, nor a nice beach and half naked women feeding you grapes, like a bounty bar advert John perhaps lol. I went and lived among poor people struggling to afford food to eat (luckily my Girlfriend is not one of the poor), I've not been to the bounty bar areas yet , so yet to experience where most of the expats are in these videos you talk of, you know, the ones that warn you about Filipinas stealing your money, and sit in front of the camera with their Filipina thinking they are immune lol. take it easy John

There is the danger of slowly going crazy being so enmeshed in the chaos. It might be an idea to get away for a while so you can look at the spider's web in a different light.

One year? She literally hasn’t talked to you in one year? Wow! Look I don’t live with a Filipina. My wife is Thai so I don’t pretend to understand what living with one is like. I play with one in my band and she can be ….. let’s just say a bit on the moody and unpredictable side. But one year without a word? When do you draw the line on that? When does that cross into disrespect? I can only speak for myself - and I consider myself a very committed husband of almost 16 years together. But the disrespect ship would have left the harbor for me quite some time ago.

This can happen to old men who think these young ladies love them😮 I say hit it and quit it😂 no shame in that game. My wife never worked she stayed at home to raise our children. Never had big money but was happy to raise our children together. Nowadays the world is up side down😮
