So on the "Game of Thrones" comment, I need to clarify. This wasn't meant to be an attack on GoT, ASOIAF or those who enjoy them. I was using it as shorthand for " "I'm sick of dark fantasy works trying to cash in on GoT made by people who completely misunderstand GoT and think it's all about medieval sex and murder." The The Boys comparison was similar. I know it's a good show (even if it's not for me, personally), what I'm concerned with is the people who take surface-level takes of them and create "edgy for the sake of it" ripoffs. Watchmen apparently suffered from this A LOT.

On the topic of persona 3 recast it is kinda funny that Allegra Clark(Dorothea from three houses) will be voicing Mitsuru who was once voiced by Tara platt (edelgard from three houses) I find it funny because I have this weird headcanon that after the events of three houses Dorothea decides to open a opera based on the war and she plays edelgard. So this weird coincidence is kinda funny On the topic of the Mario and rabbids games the humor may be cringe but the gameplay is really good and in sparks of hope it is even better than the first game

Another thing I don't see a lot of other people talking about is finally doing same day global releases. Even though, yes, I know this started with SMT 5 and Soul Hackers 2, but the fact that this cements it as the status quo from now on still makes me excited. Reminds me back when Pokemon and Fire Emblem were same day international releases. (Can you believe there was a time where even POKEMON had to wait at least six months in order to come to the west.) Now if only Falcom could join the club... (Yeah, I know it mostly has to do with popularity and the absolutely gigantic amount of text in their games, but it would still be nice to have. I saw an idea that Re Fantazio is the Prequel to the Persona franchise. The story involves becoming king and reaching paradise which is our world. The characters have pseudo personas and alot of the characters share similarities with Persona characters. The mc for example looking very similar to a medieval heterochromia Makoto Yuki. So what if they do indeed merge our world with theirs & these "archetypes" expand and become personas.

The VA for SF6's Luke being the new voice for the protagonist has already spawned some great memes. 9:36 I never had a problem with ORAS, even though it lacked the Frontier. It was good overall. I'm surprised you didn't talk more about the lack of the female protagonist seemingly being absent in the P3 Remake. I would say The Boys comparison works if you used something from the comics rather than the show. As the show isn't, "You should feel bad about liking superhero stuff" it's more of a commentary on just how would it be having a superhero based society. Because there are heroes that redeem themselves that seemed bad before. Actually, good heroes who want to help the world. And it's showing how humans aren't so weak as well since in the show, the main characters aren't super-powered (except one but her story is that she doesn't need to be a serial killer despite the powers she has) The comics are very anti-superhero as the creator of the comics has stated how he hates superheros. He gets to give his MCs these big black trenchcoats and kill superheros while having the powers of a hero. And having other disgusting stuff in it like making the stand in for Professor X a... kid toucher. And other stuff. While the show just criticizes modern day stuff and how corrupt businesses get.

Also, I've seen a lot of the voice actors before from other games like Dawn Bennett (Monster Hunter Rise, Trails of Cold Steel 4, FE 3Hopes), Alejandro Saab (FE3H), Suzie Yeung (Trails into Reverie), Aleks Le (Monster Hunter Rise), and Heather Gonzales (Monster Hunter Rise, Trails of Cold Steel 4/Reverie, FEH). But also, Allegra Clark as Mitsuru is honestly a perfect replacement IMO.

as for other fes content, we've seen bow locked yukari (possibly meaning sword locked protag), weapon fusion shop, heard about aigis link, pretty much all confirmed liz hangouts. Monad and superboss/telos are NOT hard confirmed currently. I understand why there was a recast and am in agreement over a full recast over time, though it is ultimately an each their own on this front I feel, I am extremely curious regarding Liz though.

I really only have thoughts on P3Re & Metaphor. I find a bit funny that the WHOLE cast for P3 is changed. Because me and my friend agreed that, as cool as he, we can do without Yuri Lowenthal as the Protag. Well, we got what we wanted with a monkey's paw wish. LOL. Plus, I do agree that, it's pretty noticeable that half of the original cast felt like lines were kinda phoned in. As someone who's been wanting to play P3 through the best way, this might be it. And hopefully that a lot of things that felt crushing to new players are either changed or just gone. For Metaphor. Seeing and hearing that it's a 3 way mix of Persona, SMT, and Fantasy/Medival elements, that's pretty cool. I've also been thinking of starting some SMT games. So that might give me a better understanding of how combat might work in Metaphor. Ultimately, I'll wait a bit to see what most people think about it (Mostly from Atlus & Persona KZfaqrs.) Before I buy it. But damn, Atlus is gonna be killing it in 2024.

For P5T: Will have to check once given the chance. do gotta love it when people jump the gun about certain characters not being in(who's to say both don't want anything to do with the metaverse anymore but who can say) for P3R: sad you don't get the OG voice cast even give them a chance to do a better performance if they can but eh(hope at least one of them don't pull the same stunt the OG VA of Bayonetta did) I defiantly agree that we should get a platonic route and maybe keep the jealousy Mechanic as well as play a bigger role in the FTEs. Re:Fantazio: from what I'm seeing its gonna be a must grab for me.

P3 is my favorite game, and it was the first videogame I've ever played, so it holds a special meaning to me. Knowing about the Remake makes me excited, but I agree with some of your points. About the new VAs... I have a good feeling that we'll get a pretty good job, the biggest problem will be adapting to the new voices (and I guess we might get a JP voice option, just in case??). Your take on Yukari's voice is the same as I have for Edelgard lol I love Tara Platt, but her Edel voice is too harsh. And about FEMC/Answer... I love Kotone's route of the game because of the SLs, so in the beginning I was disappointed that we wouldn't have them with Minato (Kenji's SL screenshot sealing the deal), but with the recent news that the male party members will get extra content, it makes me happy. I just want to feel like Minato has a strong bond with them, you know? Doesn't matter if it's through SLs or whatever. I do feel like they should add Ryoji's SL, with all the meaningful scenes in the P3 movies and all. (Idk if Rio and Saori will appear, which is sad, bc Saori is one of my absolute favorites... also, Theo??). But in any case, I am really happy and excited, P3 getting a modern version is a dream come true.

It's possible that they may actually add other links to the party members that didn't have them. Though that will make the calendar very crowded. I do wonder if the sick mechanic is going to still exist. And it would be interesting to see if they added technical damage to this game as I feel Like it might actually fit Since this game used to be very Is status effect heavy.

Oh, this came pretty quick. Always love these Thoughts On videos. As for my thoughts, I’ll just go through them in order. P5T is something I have no strong feelings for. I don’t think it’s bad at all, but it didn’t grab me. I think that’s something that can change depending on how the gameplay and story turn out, but for now I’m not really interested. My friend is and she’s been really happy for it as a P5 fan who loves the art style, so at least there’s some positive attributions for me. In terms of P3, I’ll split this up between more general and specifically va-related stuff. Honestly, I agree 100% with being happy for a version of P3 that’s an easier recommendation. It really is unforgiving in a lot of ways besides the gameplay being among the most difficult in Persona(I’m talking stats and enemy strategies, not even the party members being only direct able and not directly controllable). P3 deserves to be much more accessible, so a version that brings it in-line with modern Persona just rocks. I was more disappointed by it not being the definitive FES+Portable version, but I’ve mellowed out on that. The only issue I have is that I’m not sold on the graphic effects and some of the new UI, but I’ll see how that goes in time. As for the new vas, the most interesting thing to me is how emblematic it is of a shift in vas in the industry since P3’s original release. When you look at the old cast, a ton of them like Liam O’Brian, Tara Platt, Michelle Ruff, and Yuri Lowenthal were in EVERYWHERE between the mid 2000s to the early 2010s. Seriously, every English dub had one of these guys or Matthew Mercer. But naturally, new talent’s been flooding in and a number of them are in the new cast. Some of them like Dawn Bennette(who I will always know as Lilac from Freedom Planet first) has been in a lot of games and anime dubs. Others have just gotten their starts but are looking like potential powerhouses. Idk, this whole thing is sort of a microcosm of that shift and I find it pretty interesting. I have no worries about quality of performances with these guys given their resumes also, so for as sad as it is to see the old cast go, I full welcome the new guys. Re:Fantazio came at the perfect time. Xenoblade 3 sent me on a massive kick with mega esoteric and physically impossible but extremely unique concepts, like Flame Clokcs that store actual life force that you cut open to free people. It’s been extremely influential in that way to tge newest thing I’ve started working on that’s kind of these unique concepts in overdrive. But enter Re:Fantazio that is all of that everywhere. I was sold immediately. Everything looks so damn cool. I mean the aesthetic and graphics too, but the concepts like Equipping monsters as classes, the links you form looking like the come from important people so the MC is like a diplomat, the world being some parallel one that might exist somewhere alongside ours, even the orange eyes for the powers as a visual. Funnily enough, gameplay and story weren’t what jumped out to me, but those seem great too. This game came out of nowhere for me and I’m living for it. So overall? Atlus gets much more than a passing grade. Damn good stuff.

A bit late, but these games have got me excited, all of them look really cool and have stuff that is up my alley, but man do I hate the fact I bought P3P when a better version is coming out in a years time from that versions release date. I know people aren’t a fan of P5T’s art style but I really think it pops and helps it stand out in my mind, specially now it viewable in HD. Also very fitting the main areas seem to be based on different rebellions throughout history, that really fits with P5. P3RE looks drop dead gorgeous with the only thing I can critique being the shop menu’s colors, I’m pretty sure previous versions had those colors be blue so why is it P5 colors? Also I was initially surprised by the complete voice cast change but knowing who the actors are, I’m completely on board, they are going to do amazing I can just tell. And I can believe no one saw Fantazio’s return coming, I think it took a lot of people off guard in a good way, the game looks awesome (outside of some noticeable frame rate drops but they still have a year to fix that up) and it’s a damn good Idea combining the press turn system with more Persona like mechanics, really liking the character designs as well, they stick out and despite clearly being the same artist as P3, P4 & P5 the characters don’t look like they came from the same series, at least to me.

I REALLY wish they at least let the party members be an OPTION for S-Links in Reload (I'll forgive lack of FeMC because among other things, you have to remember they'd have to remake parts of INABA for her), but hearing Zeno Robinson as Junpei and Allegra Clark as Mitsuru will be a treat. ...also, if the Answer is DLC PLEASE rewrite it, Atlus. It's not fun with Yukari being left doing all the homework setting up SEES Civil War.

The "female" scenario in P3P wasn't just a reskin. It was big enough to be an entire game. Therefore I don't expect it to be in the same package as something as big and detailed as Persona 5. It'd be good if we get the female version as a separate game, similar to how the Devil Children series released the Black Book/Red Book and Dark/Light as the ambitious takes on Pokemon versions. Otherwise, I'm content with playing a remake of Persona 3 FES.

Re Fantazio looks really stunning, really looking forward to it. Also thoughts on the new persona 3 cast: Never heard Justine Lee or Justice Slocum in anything before, so I can’t really comment on them I mostly know Suzie Yeung as Eula (genshin), yuffie (ff7) and Vladilena (86). Vladilena is actually kinda like a navigator (she commands troops from a remote location) so that’ll be interesting to hear Allegra Clark: perfect casting, like between her characters AI: somnium files and Genshin, shes PERFECT for Mitsuru Alejandro Saab: this makes this 3rd character with electric powers that he voices, that’s a funny trend Dawn M Bennet: i mean she voices Mariabell in trials and I LOVE her in that, but also Aigis is very different from that, she’s kinda the emotional core of persona 3 so there’s a lotta pressure on her Zeno Robbenson: the character he plays in re:zero can definitely be described as having “bro vibes” so I’m sure he’ll do great as Junpei. Also he voices hawks in MHA (his voice sounds so attractive in that show) and him and Junpei do have similar elements in there backstory’s Heather Gonzalez, never heard her as a teen girl character before, it’ll be interesting to see what direction she take it in, maybe similar so how she does Elincia in fe? Aleks Le: he’s very much known as a kida “meme lord” and playing more out there characters, like Luke (SF6) and Zenitsu (demon slayer) so it’ll be interesting to see him in a more “sullen” role, so considering how much I’ve enjoyed him in everything else he’s in I have no doubt he’ll do great. Maybe he’ll sound like a less angry version Thorfinn, (the character he plays in the Netflix dub of Vinland Saga).

I agree with you in P5T, im also looking forward to it In the matter of P3RE i also hold the same opinion has you, one interesting thing to note is that in JP the VA cast will remain the same For Re:Fantasy i would advice you to look at the earlier promotion material since its pretty cool, one image says the following: "This not Persona,This is not Megami Tensei,This is the beginning of a new story" which is pretty funny given the recent trailer and that also the red-head female elf knight which appears often, she also appeared in Etrian Odyssey Nexus as a DLC portrait.

I’m slightly worried for Tactica’s DLC being honest. Though if it ends up being good and well priced then it should be fine. I do hope it isn’t just Crow, Violet but also Sophie and Wolf. Otherwise I’m excited for Tactica I just hope they don’t spill too much info on the story Persona 3 Reload. My only problems with it. Is that I feel Persona 2 needs a remake more. Persona 1 too. The other is no FES content. It was major story stuff from The Answer that’s my big thing. Even just cutscenes. I just hope it isn’t sold for over price DLC cause while I love the Erebus fight it isn’t worth that much. But one thing I do hope, I hundred percent agree with you. Allow for platonic routes, or maybe scrap the jealousy mechanic. Still punish people dating multiple people but if we HAVE to date everyone. Remove that Jealousy mechanic. I’m fine with reversing social links and breaking them but god damn. That and how slow combat can feel since you can’t control your party members are always my major grips with 3 others are smaller things that I can overlook but damn. 3 is rough to recommend and kind of hard to go back to fresh for 100% Social Link and Compendium without guides. Now it makes me wonder if they did a Persona 2 remake would they add social links? Would they combine both games like Advance Wars Re-Boot Camp? I just want to see Philemon and Nyarlethotep again. At the very least with hindsight, I'll say ORAS was at least serviceable and enjoyable remakes even if they didn't hit their heights; Still better than whatever the f^^^ happened with BD/SP. On that note, since you're a lot more familiar with P3 and Atlus in general, do you think that the P3 Remake will at least be an ORAS situation (not quite definitive, but still holds up on its own merits)? That was my biggest concern of the P3 Remake not hitting at least that level of quality and rather hear a more cool headed opinion on it from someone like you Klingy. 12:16- I've heard the horror stories about fact. Know too well how a single mistake ruined a 100% run and how P4 and P5 took A LOT more care and attention to actually make this possible. 13:08- Yeah, I REALLY hope they give platonic choices for them. A bit worried if there are SMT-like alignments given what you said and how there's a mysterious blond hair person asking this to you in an Atlus game. As for how I felt for the announcements, admittedly I've been on the sideline (or more accurately, watching the sidelines from afar as the actual sidelines reel in the chaos going on), so I haven't formed quite a strong enough opinion to be either hyped or dubious over these announcements. I do have some more interest in Metaphor after hearing and learning about it here. I'll be waiting for more official details from P5T and P3 Reloaded before I'll decide my thoughts on them and if I'll get them. Honestly, haven't really been caring for as many announcements given this year I've either already have most of the major things that I was waiting for in 2023 (barring Advance Wars that I'll get later) or waiting for anything else (besides Pikmin 4 that I'll get after Day 1 once I can splurge more; Same for Blasphemous 2.) to come out or be announced in the latter half of this year as things I want are either hypotheticals (be it games I want or games that are out but lack a Switch Port) or 2024 releases. Also after I'm done with the current "Clogging up my backlog to hell and back trifecta" (Octopath 2, Cassette Beasts, and Tactics Ogre Reborn), I think I'm going to make 2023 a a game clearing year for me and go back and beat some games that have been waiting for a LONG while for me to finish up, so I've really haven't been caring as much for game announcements. Part of that might change if we get something like a Nintendo Direct in July or something (highly doubt we'll get one this month), I think that's my main game plan for games. That all said, still has been quite interesting and insightful to hear from you on these Atlus Announcements. In other news, quite a bit, but I'll save that for the next part of the AW2 LP as I'm a bit busy tonight and this comment already took a lot longer to write than I expected.

So P5T looks pretty decently interesting. I don't have very strong feelings towards it yet, but I'll be definitely checking it out when it drops. I'll say that the absence of Crow and Violet do hurt a bunch, especially Crow since I'll take literally any chance to spend more time with what has become one of my absolute favorite character in any media ever and I was already hurt by their absence in Strikers where I was hoping them to be at least non-plot related DLC extra characters. I do hope the DLC does bring them in, and maybe Sophie and Wolf too. The chance to have Crow and Wolf interact with each other is being extremely slept on. Buuut ultimately it will not be a total deal-breaker to me. Besides, both this game and P3R have been stated to arrive to Xbox Game Pass right away, and given I play on Xbox and I have free Game Pass thanks to a good friend of mine, I can check it out with zero compromise. As for Persona 3 Reload, I'll address the elephant in the room right away: Yes, I am actually rather upset they are deciding to leave out The Answer and FeMC, because I was actually hoping for a definite version. The Answer honestly kind of sucked mainly because gameplay-wise it was just constant fighting against enemies that were unnecessarily hard for the wrong reasons, which is something they could've tweaked, it's still important story content. And FeMC, while not canon to the larger franchise adds a lot of replay value and has some great Social Links, her SL with Shinji, regardless of people's stance on its outcome, is legit one of the absolute best SLs in the franchise in my opinion. At this point I'm thinking they're gonna do what they seem to love doing and give this remake the Golden/Royal treatment in the future. The Voice Cast change honestly doesn't bug me in the slightest, immediately being upset over a recast feels dumb when you still haven't even heard the new voices. Plus I play Persona with Japanese voices most of the time anyway. But yeah, they damn better add platonic routes for the girls. I'd be okay if they kept the jealousy system if that was the case because just adding platonic choices would instantly nerf the jealousy system into being more tolerable since and non-romanced girl would logically not suffer jealousy, making non-harem playthroughs far more lenient. As well as you know, allowing those playthroughs to even exist in the first place without intentionally stopping a SL mid-way through. Which ended up reversing it as well. Long story short, I'm disappointed by several of their decisions but I'm still looking forward to it. No matter what seeing a more accessible version of P3 on the modern Persona engine was something I wanted for a long time. Now it won't be long before people also ask for a P4 Remake too, which would pretty much be mainly for the visual upgrade. And tbh, I can't say a lot for their third announcement. I am completely out of the loop there and I have essentially no experience with any Atlus game that isn't Persona. Except Trauma Center, but that's both off-topic and it's not coming back. Soooo yeah. The End.

Gonna say things along the lines of the FemMC removal in Reload would have never been a deal breaker for me, I definitely understand peoples pain of those being gone and wish they could have been there myself to at least put at least a little bit of an end to the "definitive P3 Discourse" As far as the recasting goes, a full recast I honestly did imagine was a decent possibility if P3 were to be remade (especially as of rn in this time where I imagine they would have only brought back 3-4 of OG Sees that was in dancing btw had they did partial). And I am hopeful that this new cast can at least bring this dub can bring it up to footing of the OG one for me which I do kinda have that nostalgia bias for admittedly with voices along the lines of Akihiko, Mitsuru, Shinjiro in OG. Some of the new VA's do at least play some characters I have bias for in things along the lines of FE and Pokemon (New Yukari playing the more modern Elincia alts in FEH, New Aigis playing fem Shez, and new Makoto also playing Brendan in Pkmn Masters) so that should help a little bit at least I feel. There is always the possibility maybe may be some more classic VA's in other things playing the side characters or antagonists to at least some semblance of a hybrid of classic and these modern VA's in here (which tend to be my favorite game dubs btw which is what FE and other SMT games tends to have at those times) but I'm feeling doubful of it of the same time

Definitely looking forward to the STRGP train. I think another reason why people don't like the social links in 3 is that some don't really tue into the plot. This is why Kenji is disliked since his arc doesn't match 3s themes compared to Akihiko and Junpei who get more backstory and fleshed out development. Even Ken and Koromaru has good arcs that develops them, especially Ken. Compared to 5 where while yes they're not as flawed they all have good arcs and tie into the story. Even Ohya the least liked social link has an arc that ties into the games themes and fits into the story. I think if Kenji had a more meaningful story arc than dating older women, it wouldn't be so despised. Interesting about project fantasy. Id didn't know about that history. Pretty cool. Hopefully Showstopper will eventually be done. Definitely a challenging mission especially for Sonja.

Even before Reload was "officially leaked," (which is a really weird phrase by the way,) I had predicted that FeMC would more than likely be DLC, just cause it seemed like the most Atlus thing to do. Now with everything else out, I'd also bet they might put The Answer alongside it since, like you said, the original was just an expansion without outright being called that. If that's true though, it still makes me nervous as to when P6 eventually does come out, though I'm still sure it'll happen in the next five years or so, just like with KH4. (It really says something when I'm thinking that that is the minimum amount of time it takes for these games to come out, not that I'm complaining. I mean, look at how TotK came out.)

Aside from Engage, I actually came across three of these actors in Octopath Traveler 2. Saab, Yeung voice two of the main eight characters(Osvald and Ochette) alongside Xanthe Huynh who plays a third(Agnea). Gonzalez is also an important supporting character in that game (Malaya). I got downvoted to hell on Reddit when I suggested as a half-joke that Xanthe might've put a personal recommendation for them to Atlus. They knocked it out of the park in that game. I highly recommend that game it has a lot of the same storytelling elements as Persona. Also, I feel P3 gets a pass with the Hermit Arcana. The reveal was hidden enough to where the non-attentive player wouldn't see it coming until it actually happened. I feel that was a good punchline because you only get access to Hermit via Kenji, if I remember correctly.

I'm not a fan of the art style of Tactica, but I'll definitely watch your playthrough if if do one. I haven't played P3, but I find it really weird how there are so many different versions of the game and we're getting the base game again.

P5 tactics is something that while I probably won’t be buying day 1, it’s definitely on my eventually get list, cuz it looks really interesting. I just hope ui feels friendlier then Triangle Strategy I honestly don’t think I’m getting P3 reloaded, mainly because I’m not sure if playing it will feel “fresh” enough for me to keep going, as Iv seen quite a few videos on KZfaq. I don’t want to add stuff to my growing game catalog. I think I will buy some form of it when femc enters the fray, mainly because she drastically changes the interactions with the world entirely, and I haven’t seen much portable vids. On the new cast: On one hand I am going to feel weird listing to the new voices, considering I’m used to the old ones. On the other hand, the new cast is REALLY stacked, and I want to see them cook. Your comparison of The Boys to what Re: Fantasy might be reminds me of a TV Tropes article I read a while back that compared that show to Invincible. (Another violent superhero satire that came out on Amazon, funnily enough.) The basic gist of it was, while both shows are effectively deconstructions of the genre, The Boys was from a comic that vehemently hated it and wanted to destroy everything about it, with the show toning it down and in general being much better in every aspect, while still keeping its trademark pessimism, Invincible loves just about everything about the genre and does something different just because they'd think it'd be interesting.

4:22 The red text is funny to me because of two phrases used in fighting game circles for specific games franchises. "No Mai, no buy" and "No Baiken, no buy, Ken". Both phrases exist because the respective game (KOF 12 and Guilty Gear Xrd) didn't have the popular character people wanted. There's a difference between a fighting game's characters and an RPG's (tactical or otherwise) characters but it's not unreasonable for people to care so much imo. I made a joke in a chat room about them adding "The Answer" as DLC. I didn't know Kenji was that hated. I'm not a big fan of the guy but I thought his Social Link was fine. That third game looks interesting.

P3R not including the rerelease's content, to me, has a bit of both greed and altruism in it. Atlus's marketing is not great, but I'm 100% sure they know the popularity of FeMC, and The Answer is... the end of the story. It would be stupid to completely ignore them. It seems almost certain that they're going to be DLC, both because they know they can get away with it, but also to make sure that the base game is as polished as it can be before working on what they view as auxillary. I don't trust Katsura Hashino as far as I can throw him, but Re:Fantasy looks *really* promising. Beautiful, for one thing, but there's a ton of promise even mechanically.

So far, it pisses me off that The Answer won't be included in P3 Reloaded. I'm still clinging to the posibility of The Answer being included as Post Launch DLC. But knowing ATLUS' track record, if they decide to include The Answer latter, it will be their excuse to launch a full priced re-release.

i dont understand how people keep thinking akechi is coming back even if he's alive at the end of royal he's not going to appear to the phantom thiefs and sumi is a professional athlete so of course she cant be around with the phantom theifs as much unlike marie who literally has nothing really going on except being a weather women which is a just dayjob unlike sumi who has to travel all over the place for her athletics for tournaments and such and akechi is still presumed dead by the phantom theifs so to have both in a side game would mean it would have to be either before marukis palace or after royal with an issue so bad akechi (if he's alive) would have to reach out to the phantom thiefs himself to rejoin the team and sumi during a long stretch of time she dosn have any tournaments planned so why include them when they have reasons to not participate in most side storys which also gives more attention to the new character unless its DLC with an expanded plot or there appearance isn't canon and are just units for the player to use but are never acknowledged in the story

Persona tactics: it looks interesting. Interesting it between the third semester and strikers. Yoshizawa should be in the cast at least Persona 3 reload: annoyed that the answer and FeMc aren't there unless dlc(or god forbid re-release). Also hope persona 1 and 2 duology get a remake. Also for me I just wanted to social link the male party members. metaphor: looks cool and interesting.

I also hope that the girls get platonic routes, alongside making things more forgiving in general. I've never played the male MC route, so this'll be a great time to play it. It's also good timing, as I've beaten 3 Portable, Golden, and Royal, so I'll be able to hop straight into it.

Here are my quick thoughts on the games: - Persona 5 Tactics: Neat addition to P5's roster of spinoff titles, but it certainly seems like a case of "I'll wait to sometime after release to get it... and probably won't end up getting it" in part because of how I dropped off of Strikers. - Persona 3 Reloaded: A remake of the 'modern era' Persona games that I have always been the least interested in to play due to the various instances of "early instalment weirdness/clunk" should be right up my alley... Or it would be if it truly was THE definitive version of Persona 3 which it could only be in my eyes if it at LEAST had the Answer. - Metaphor Re Fantazio: Neat that it has the press turn system? Other than that, I'd need to see what people think of it around release (though I'll probably have forgotten about it by then). In other news that was recently released: WE FINALLY GET A COLLECTION OF ACE ATTORNEY 4-6! While the games in the collection give Apollo a rather... mixed spotlight, I think naming the collection after him was the better choice. And for those who say that the collection of 4-6 is lesser than 1-3... I disagree as someone who thinks the majority of cases in the first two games are meh/heavily flawed at best (with the exceptions being 1-4 and 2-4) and as a result have a higher opinion of both 4 and 5 than most of the fandom. In other, OTHER news that is only related to this by virtue of it being an RPG, I finished the FF16 Demo right before watching this and so far I am enjoying it quite a bit (even if the demo is just the easy opening of the game) to the point that I'm considering to pre-order the game. I gotta say though... the demo ends at a cliffhanger that is JUST painful enough to make the wait until the release thursday next week irksome in a good way (on the "Cliffhanger scale" of 1 to "Trails in the Sky FC", I'd give the FF16 demo a 6).

I'm mildly irritated that the Female Protagonist isn't in the base game mostly by principle. These games are part Social Sim, and I always thought it was great that FES caters to both genders to make it a more inclusive experience. I think the money they spent on the complete recast would have been better spent on this, BUT I'm expecting Atlus to milk this for all it's worth and add the Female Protagonist, the Answer, and even an option to use the original voice cast as paid DLC. Some people will complain about this if it happens--justifiably so--but this is only my second time with Persona 3 after the Portable Port (which I haven't played yet due to massive backlog), so I'm OK them potentially doing this. Other than that, Tactica looks great--it's like an altered Devil Survivor, and Metaphor Re Fantazio seems interesting.

While I liked the idea of the FeMC is P3P, the actual execution had a few… rough points. Mainly hurting the characterization of the male cast (Not for the reasons you might think). Spoilers for the FeMC Route and Persona 3 in general I guess I don’t really care for Junpei becoming a massive misogynist in the FeMC route. While Junpei is supposed to be a jerk early on, I think the female route takes it a bit too far. It doesn’t help that since he replaces Kenji as the Magician social link, he can flip flop between being hating everything and being your best friend depending on whether it’s a story scene or a social link scene. However, the much worse thing is the fact that you can save Shinjiro if you max out his social link. He becomes hospitalized and is put out of commission for the rest of the story (which is almost worse than him hanging around since you get neither the benefit of being able to hang out with him more nor the emotional impact of his death). It massively lessens the impact of Akihiko and Ken’s character arcs which sucks especially for me since Akihiko’s Persona awakening is my favorite scene in the game. It also doesn’t help when the game is about the inevitability of death to have you be able to prevent the most important death scene in the game. I honestly would’ve been fine if they put the FeMC in the game and the only changes are your character model and the pronouns characters refer to you by. I like some of the social links in her Route but I rather not have them than the worsening of the main story.

As someone who's never played Persona 3, I'm excited to play Reload.

Tactica looks promising. Hopefully the gameplay is good. I still miss Devil Survivor though. Reload looks like about what people expected. Hoping some of the weaker party members get buffed. My main issue is we're seemingly stuck with the original S. Links. Look, Persona 3's were the first in the series and a lot of them are bad or boring. People *hate* Nozomi. People find Bebe, Mamoru, and Keisuke super boring. People either dislike or are bored by Kenji. I don't think it's a coincidence all these guys got replaced in Femc's route. And then there's how 3 made you agree with everything people said for points that people don't like such as in Kaz and Hidetoshi's links. I'm all for social links with characters with big flaws (Tanaka, Maya, and Mutatsu are links people actually like) but the thing about a lot of the P3 links is they're unlikable, boring, or unlikable *and* boring. Maybe they'll get a rework but... Metaphor looks awesome visually, I love the artstyle. Looking forward to learning more.

If you haven't played Xcom I highly recommend trying it. the 2012 Remake is great. same with XCOM 2. Also I very much agree with your thoughts on VA's in P3.

P5T: Looks interesting. I already made a comment about how I feel about Kasumi, and Akechi? To be honest, as relevant he might be to the story, it's pretty clear he's meant to be an extra to the main PT group, by the standards of the story. So yeah, I'm okay with him being DLC or whatever P5RE: I really wanted FeMC. I will admit The Answer is kind of a drag gameplay-wise BUT all the events in it are canon, so not adding it is kinda questionable... Unless of course DLC again Meta: I didn't even remember this project existed, but I am very interested in it. Seeing a genuine adaptation of the persona mechanic in another game, including its themes, in a more traditional RPG scenario seems like it has a lot of potential. I hope it is a satisfying experience

I'm curious what Reload's gonna do with Igor and who's voicing him. Think Lodge actually gets his due or do they bring back Dan Woren? IDK if the Japan dub with reuse this voice lines either.

Personally, I'm pretty meh on the P3 Remake as a whole. I had a sneaking suspicion P3 was getting a remake when Atlus ported Portable to Steam. Although it has been fun watching the fandom throw a collective temper tantrum over the changes being made. I'm glad the cast is being entirely switched given some of the "questionable" performances given by certain characters.. I'm not losing sleep over The Answer not being there as in my eyes it didn't add anything to the P3 experience until the VERY end, after 20+ Hours of excruciating dungeon crawling. And the FeMC. Again, pretty meh. I've never really had any strong opinions on her, she's just kinda there. An excuse I see from people is that having the FeMC would mean creating a completely different game on top of Reload, including re-animating the cutscene and recording new dialogue. This would be a valid excuse... if Atlus was some small indie company but no. They definitely have the resources to put FeMC in the game. From what the screenshots I've seen, the animated cutscenes aren't Demon Slayer levels of quality, and the cutscenes from The Journey clock in at around 30 minutes. It's sad she's not in the remake and it's a dick move from Atlus but I'm not losing sleep over it. As for P5T. *Sigh*, is anyone else getting tired of Persona 5? It's like when Atlus was milking P4 for all its worth before they moved onto P5. I love the Phantom Thieves but I think it's time to move on considering that it's been nearly 7 years since P5's original JP release.

I don't really have any thoughts on P5T, so I'll move on to the other two games. P3rR. Right now, I'm unsure of where I stand. The main story is pretty good, even if I'm not head over heels for it, and I have faith that it'll still be done well. However, my main problems with the P3 experience come from everything else. Combat is punishing in an unfun way due to AI-control, the Social Link system is positively byzantine and the writing of said social links is......not great. Easily the weaker part of P3's writing (especially for the party members) However, they have a second chance to try and fix those flaws. Right off the bat, we have confirmation of controllable party members which was easily the make-or-break in my eyes. Kenji's existence pretty much confirms that the male party members won't get Social Links this time either, which really sucks. We don't know one way or the other about if romance is still forced or not, but if it isn't, then that gives me hope that they'll actually rewrite the Social Links. So yeah, all in all, P3R isn't a 'must-buy' for me, but depending on how faithful they are, I may or may not get it eventually when it goes on sale. As for Re:Fantazio, I don't have too much to say. Personally, I really hope it *doesn't* go the dark fantasy route, but even if it does, it'll depend on the specific execution. I think the combat UI looks extremely ugly though imo, which is strange when they're trying to imitate P5's which was amazing. Meanwhile, this is too visually busy and chaotic to flow well. Also, if I do get it, one of my characters will permanently be a ninja and I will not be stopped from doing so. So yeah, those are my thoughts.

It was funny that I was thinking "wouldn't it be cool to have a game between Socom and Rappids with Persona 5" but I was thinking more towards the line of Shadow Ops side of P5(R) events. But I'm honest, while I still can't get enough of P5, I getting sick of all the Sumire neglecting.

The Akechi thing confuses me. Why are people upset about him not being here HES DEAD! In vanilla hes dead and in Royal hes still fucking dead. That was the whole part of Akechis arc for Royal. He would rather be dead than given life by Maruki. Dudes fucking dead.

P5 Tactica: I did not know this was revealed until now but it looks awesome, the new character too, they both give me big PQ vibes so I'm really hoping it's just as good. P3 Reload: Not going to lie, I was more annoyed than happy when this leaked because I really thought Atlus wouldn't be so money hungry as to port it only to announce a remake months later, thus getting twice the money from P3 fans like me who thought the port meant a remake won't ever happen, then when you said they said there's no FES content I was legit mad for a bit, but I got over that once I heard the reasons you gave for why that's not actually so bad, so now I'm genuinely looking forward to it. Re:Fantazio: I... also didn't know about this, but medieval Persona sounds awesome too.

So what I want to say about the other two announcements. Persona 5 Tactica this won’t be the only game this year whose name is said as L-E take place in a Revolution. Tactica does look a lot more animated than Q does, which feels weird as I’m kind of used to the style being used by handhelds, where it feels more at home on a weaker console in addition to being a stylistic choice, since on the 3DS you could choose to focus on lower quality more realistic models or more cartoony and stylised designs, here it’s just a stylistic choice, still nice looking I admit In regards to Tactica not featuring Akechi, while you could somewhat argue that good old Sumi being there would make sense regardless, however canonically Akechi being part of the story without ample story justification would be very limiting to when this would take place. using Q2 as an example it had to take place when it did to have Akechi in the party, While I’m cautiously optimistic about this a potential issue that I feel could possibly happen is lack of different game feel amongst its party members outside of skills, since we never see any unique passive abilities or any implication of unique movement options in the trailer that would chance how you would approach with Morgana over Ann, or how much their willing to go since they could crutch on something that’s in every Persona game, it’s SMT based skill system and call it a day. And they only have 8 characters who could take part in battle which seems which doesn’t have as much potential for diverse gameplay. Or have certain characters play very similar nd have the same role but have other aspects to tell them apart. By comparison while it also had a very limited roster the fact that Strikers was an action game they would have to be more varied in game feel of it’s cast, they couldn’t just have Ryuji and Yosuke differ only in animation or numbers, which can be the only thing you need to have characters be different in a tactical rpg, even Advance Wars which has its unit do vastly different things has thing like the Tanks which onky really differ in number, when it comes to their basic combat Onto the other non Persona 3 game, I’m not against Metaphor in any way, not every game has to appeal to me on the offset, but admittedly since it’s not based on something that I’m familiar with I’m not as excited and hence would have to see a bit more of what makes it tick before I make any kind of judgement or decision as to I should purchase or not. Hence I don’t feel I have much to say about it’s gameplay or implied story on any meaningful level, more on the visual however, I think it looks very good, it looks grimy but also advanced and update to, unlike Octopath Traveller and Triangle Strategy that look ugky in a way which doesn’t look appealing to me, different mediums but I feel they have the same aesthetic Using the Boys as an example of malicious deconstruction, yeah the writer of the original comic, Garth Ennis is very much known for his dislike of superheroes, hence while you admittedly bring up issues with a genre in a work it can make anything you say come across as exaggerated because your going in with a bias which clouds your judgement, I so admittedly like you prefer the idea of a constructive and affectionate that’s treating the work honestly and not like it’s creature a narrative informed by the biases of its reader. However I do feel that slightly hypocritical of me, a story idea I had for a fanfic (the actual media isn’t really important for my point) , while I would be doing it as a fan of the game in question and also providing an alternate lens of the games story and how some aspects can come off, but as a whole I feel that I would be going over a lot of the potential issues caused by that storylines it’s a sequel to witting, one that I’ve gone on record saying I really dislike, while to me it comes across as taking some of the storyline more realistically or taking implication around the games narrative that it doesn’t explore, it would hence end up portraying its source material quite unfavourably despite using actual canon material as the basis for what I’m saying, having a violent serial killer as a subordinate has the implication that your okay with immoral people following you being one example. Hence I feel it could very much come across as me being incredibly unfair to the source material, even though I don’t want to do so

I don't have a lot to say about Persona 5 Tactica since I'm not likely to buy it. I don't tend to bother with the Persona spin-offs since most of them lack what I liked about the main series. Only one I tried was Persona Q and while I liked it the first time around I don't see myself playing it again. PQ2 not having an English dub meant that game was basically never seeing my money no matter what. I'm sure Strikers is fine but I have no strong desire to play it, and I feel the same about P5T. Metaphor: ReFantazio seems cool as hell. Definitely looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll have the time (and the cash) to spare after I get my hands on Final Fantasy XVI and Spider-Man 2. As for Persona 3 Reload....I'm not even gonna lie, when the trailer got leaked I got a little emotional. The leaked screenshots from months ago always put the possibility in the back of my mind and every new piece we got since then made me into that "Don't Give Me Hope" Hawkeye meme right up until the day of the Instagram leaks. I love what we've seen of the game from the trailer, officla art, screenshots, and dev interviews and I don't think I've been more excited for Persona since the days of the P5 hype cycle. Surprisingly, that excitement was not affected by the two big announcements people were mad about. Frankly speaking, I've never liked The Answer at all (I've played through P3FES a whole five times and The Answer only once) and am pretty ambivalent towards the FeMC at best. I don't think she's a *bad* addition to the game but she feels like a big symptom of all the technical compromises I hated about P3P (the visual novel presentation, general lack of 3D models outside Tartarus, the ruining of Fusion Spells). If the FeMC being gone means I never have to think about a Ken Amada romance or the final outcome of the FeMC's Moon S. Link ever again, I'm completely fine with that. Besides, the devs have said we're still getting most of the good Journey side content that I actually liked from FES and P3P as well as new scenarios with the male party members to compensate their lack of traditional S. Links, which I will never object to. And with the voice actor recasts, while I will certainly miss much of the old cast I'd much rather a complete recast a la Final Fantasy 7 Remake rather than kicking Vic and Karen out while keeping everyone else and it feeling wrong. They chose the least objectionable option, and it really helps that the new cast is full of actors I like from other stuff (Aleks Le, Allegra Clark, and Zeno Robinson are the big highlights for me there). I'm also very curious to know how they handle Igor given the situation with his own VAs. So yeah, Early 2024 is looking very nice so far.

Oh nice, a P5 strategy game. Not feeling super passionate about it, but I might pick it up. Honestly, I'm with you on the not including FES stuff since yeah most of it is QOL stuff that will likely be included anyway, but I am a little miffed about them not including Femc for a couple of reasons: 1.) A lot of the femc social links are really nice, and you actually get to hang out with all your party members (though the Shinjiro SI definitely would've added complications) 2.) Atlus, if you want to keep acting like your protagonists are self-insert stand-ins for the player THEN AT LEAST ALLOW ANOTHER LARGE PORTION OF THE POPULATION TO DO THAT TOO. Though if they add the femc stuff as dlc like I saw other people suggest, I'd be okay with that. It would honestly be pretty good dlc since that's a lot of content to go through. Also Re:Fantazio looks really interesting and I'm definitely picking that up

Gonna sound a little ironic coming from me, but I wasn't too fond of the chibi-ish artstyle for P5 Tactica when I first saw it. Rewatching the trailer though, I actually do think it's fitting given what the gameplay's looking like. They have longer limbs than the Q models, with larger feet and forearms that help draw attention to their limbs, which are the important parts that people need to see during cool combat stuff. The longer limbs are also easier to animate, and the artstyle gives them room to do stuff like embiggen limbs or weapons at times to help emphasize power. I'm with ya on not being too fond of Mario + Rabbids' humor, but I do think the gameplay is pretty solid, so P5T certainly has my interest. I'm excited for Persona 3 Reload, but I will admit I'm a bit worried about whether Makoto Yuuki's female social links will have platonic routes now or not, and I'm honestly a bit bothered by the lack of FeMC, even if I can understand it. Honestly, we'll just need to wait to see before I can say anything solid. ...Other than Zeno Robinson as Junpei being a "HELL YES!" moment! Zeno Robinson has become one of my favorite voice actors ever since Pokémon Journeys started. I know you don't care about the anime, but Zeno is the dub's actor for Ash's companion in that series, and I'm not kidding when I say he nails _every_ line! I love Goh so much more than I think I otherwise would because of just how darn good Zeno's performance is. He's also amazing as Gamma 2 in the Dragon Ball Super Super Hero film and the Xenoverse 2 tie-in DLC. While Metaphor being a "medieval Persona" game sounds interesting, I find a lot of things about it worrying. Something I haven't mentioned yet is that, reclassing systems... kind of tick me off. Like, I do the minimum of it in Fire Emblem, because it's cool to vary up my units (Sniper Etie isn't a bad unit, I'm just rusty and somewhat impulsive), but in a standard turn-based 3-4 Party Members-at-once RPG? Do not want! I like my party members to be their own people with their own skillsets, not a bunch of blank-slate virtual dolls to dress up in wacked-out ways that don't suit their personalities or backstories at all. The gameplay side otherwise looks interesting, the rest of my worries are about the story, and you summarized them aptly at 18:32 I think I've said this before, but personally, I'm not fond of "deconstruction" in general. Especially with Superheroes. There's hardly ever any sort of "deconstruction" thing that happens that doesn't seem to be immensely "bad faith" styled, or if it's not outright "bad faith deconstruction" its "let's just mindlessly chase this edgy new trend!" And Game of Thrones inspiration is just, a giant fucking crimson flag for me that I'm not gonna like something. Game of Thrones is everything I hate to see in fiction. I'm sorry to be profane about it, I just can't emphasize that enough. The popularity of it concerns me. I hate to say this when Summer Script might see, but I'm terrified our hopeful media company isn't going to get off the ground because our works are primarily going to be optimistic stories where the heroes are good people who actually manage to do good things, and the darkest hour is usually the start of the story before the protagonists really start to get the ball rolling. The Re:Fantazio trailer ending on "Fantasy is more than an empty dream" _feels_ optimistic to me, so hopefully it'll be fun, but I just can't support stuff like Injustice or Game of Thrones and the things that take after them. My hype levels for the P3 remake went right down when they announced no The Answer or FEMC inclusion tbh (hope they come to delay the game to include them, but probably not). Still kinda excited for it though (just not as much) and will still play it, but yeah. The voice recasts don't bother me as long as they either sound similar or outright improve on what was already there tbh. Like the ORAS comparison though. I personally don't mind Kenji btw, he's quite the bro.

I didn't buy KOF 14 until Rock Howard joined as DLC. He's my favorite to play as and aside from a few I wasn't super interested in anyone else. I imagine the people complaining feel the same way. Their favorites are not there so why bother? Not saying I agree but I sort of get it. Still gonna buy it personally. Looks fun. Metaphor Re Fantazio does look promising. Not much to say but I do want to play it when it releases. Persona 3 Reload is the big one for me. The thing that held P3 back is the outdated gameplay. But with this, it has a high chance of overtaking 5. I very much agree about the dating. Hopefully it gets fixed. Cautiously optimistic about the new cast. Heard a few before so hope they'll deliver. About Yukari, I was under the impression that the answer is what made people hate her. I'd argue that Shinjiro didn't sound so nice either. And there's everyone hating Morgana too and the performance there didn't sound too mean. Personally her sounding nicer wouldn't fit. Since she doesn't open up to others easily due to her experiences with her parents. Also I expected that Fuuka and Ken would've had been voiced by their recent actors in P3 dancing. Who were way better. Very much looking forward to Reload.

P5T looks really neat, and I'm curious about it. It'd be nice to have a Persona spin-off I can finally actually get through, considering I never managed to finish P5S or PQ2 thanks to the gameplay. It's sad because I enjoyed PQ2's character interactions a lot, I got underlevelled, dropped the difficulty and the number of characters I was using, but couldn't be bothered with all the grinding I probably needed to do. I've never heard of Re:Fantazio until now, but it looks so cool. My thoughts are pretty much the same as yours - I'm not worried about Persona 6 with the existence of this game. On the other hand, while P3R is exciting, it's also disappointing. My one hope for the next Persona game, however unlikely, was for it to have a female protagonist. Playing as a guy all the time isn't a _bother,_ but the one time I got to play as a girl in a Persona game was really nice. You don't think about those subtle differences in your experiences based on your gender until you see them side by side. Also, while I appreciate that they've (presumably) kept all the SLs from the original game, I think the feMC having all of the main party as SLs added a lot, and it'll suck to lose them. I hope in the rewrite the SLs get to be the quality of P5's. I feel like nothing happens in most of P3's SLs for the first four ranks. At least The Answer is something you can just watch on KZfaq, I guess. The implication they made with their poor wording was funny to me because I hadn't realised people would think losing Aigis' SL or Elizabeth's hangouts were real concerns. Oh, but it'd be disappointing to lose Theodore, too. I appreciate him a lot... but without the feMC, I don't really expect to see his return.

Tactica potentially selling characters as dlc is a big no in my book even if I'm somewhat interested in the gameplay; hell if it sells well it might even get the typical persona treatment and release a complete edition down the road so I'll wait. Metaphorzo fantazo (or whatever) because it's a new IP and I don't have any expectations for how they do this game is the title I'm most interested in of these entries. I quite enjoy persona 3 but I don't trust Atlus to not try to further milk the fanbase with another version a year or two down the road so I'll wait. I have plenty of other games I can play in the meantime so it's not a problem. Not to mention I can always watch other people play these games if need be.

How I feel for the intern aside, I am interested in all 3 ATLUS announcements. 3 Reload looks interesting, although I am hesitant about it, I like the look of Tactica the most but I kind of have apathy for it a bit less the visual style and more its another P5 spinoff with no P6 in sight, and Metaphor looks interesting but I tend to prefer more lighthearted knight stories when it comes to that time period and let's just say Atlus isn't known for that with SMT/Persona. 1:00 I can see the comparisons, and while I will say Sparks of Hope ditches a lot of... that humor (or maybe I was numb to it and don't remember it) from the first game it definitely is interesting as I really liked how the combat flowed in M + R, particularly in the second game. 1:33 Wow that trailer did not do it justice when I watched it during SGF. P5T: I'm worried because strategy games like this tend to not be very fun for me. Valkyria Chronicles, Code Name Steam, and ESPECIALLY SMT Devil Survivor. Simply put, the enemies get extremely annoying after a while. VC was the worst in this regard, with enemies random dodging and snipers with pin-point accuracy hitting you from 10 miles away and ambush reinforcements. SMT:DS for it's constant spam of hydras who can hit you from 2-spaces away without counterattack. CNS for it's enemy stat inflation and invisible enemy spam. I really hope that I'll be able to enjoy this game, I REALLY REALLY DO! ;_; P3RL: I'm excited! Aside from getting rid of the jealousy thing, I do hope they make the Social Links and stats just generally easier to level up. More like how it is in P5, where anyone doing the game on the first time typically shouldn't have a problem ending the game with 10 maxed out Confidants without a guide, while in P3, you're lucky if you get 6-7 non-mandatory Social Links maxed out by endgame if you're playing blind. Metaphor: Looks cool. I don't like the grey-brown color palette, but could be a fun.

For me Persona 3 reload, it is cool to see persona 3 have that modern atlus style i like in persona 5, catherine, smt 5, etc. However it is annoying that FeMc and the answer wouldn't be reload until maybe DLC. For the voice actors, I'm find with it being new as long as their good. although even if it good, it will take a while to get used to. (persona 3 spoilers) I admit FeMC did add issue with some of her new soical link as you can cheap Sinjiro's death and the whole thing with Ken(gross). About Michelle Ruff's performance on yuraki, in the female route, she does sound nicer, I think it could to better voice direction or/and she dealing with a girl that isn't mitsuru . persona tactics: Shame it looks like yoshizawa isn't going to be in the base game, I get akechi for "reasons", but unlike strikers tactics is made after royal. Like you in a way, I'm glad Akechi not going to be in the base game because i'm kinda sick of akechi and think the third semester is best way for akechi to go on a high note. Also place your bets on the new character twist(x2 for facing them, x3 for them being a spirit, 4x for them being dead inside). I will said for metaphor, I hope there no alignment where it becomes "less of 2 evils". Honestly, my favourite game out of these 3 is Tactica. Reload keeps dropping news that I don't like and Metaphor isn't interesting. 4:07 Well, Yoshizawa might appear in secret capacity. Minako's version of the story would have been interesting to see in proper 3D, especially with its additions. Personally, I think the Femc Route is superior. And it boils down to 2 things: First, She has better social links, and with the actual party members! Seconed, She's a female, thus she's not getting abused. Thankfully, not a slap to the face for no reason, and not hot springs misunderstanding. I prefered the female route because of these reasons. And since I palyed the OG P3, I already saw all of the animated cutscenes. I always wanted the option of playing a female in Persona. It just sounds so interesting. Oh well. There's a lot of potential there, I just hope it's different enough to justify being a new IP.

While Persona 5 Tactica doesn`t really impress me, I will withhold judgement until I see more of it in action. Artstyle is meh, new Lyn song is a absolute bop though. The P5 timeline placement is interesting though, hope it means we will get to see different sides of the PTs (though I highly doubt it). Persona 3 Reload is a mixed bag. On one hand, the graphics and artstyle look amazing andI like the idea of SL characters getting events to interact more with non-MC characters. On the other hand, I am not that excited for a remake of a game I haven`t even played myself. Re Fantazio looks interesting, might give it a shot. Edit: Having reread some of trailer lines, I can see where the idea of it being a sucky medieval fantasy world comes from. However, since I enjoyed Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon (the former more so than the latter), it isn`t a immediate red flag for me. It will depend on how it is handled at the end of the day.

Warning Long Comment, , so long I will separate Reload and everything else into separate comments, also minor spoiler warning for Persona 3 I personally don’t like the term “deserved” In regards to something from the past getting content, while partially based on my experience when that term is said , but when it does it either tends to be used in extremism with it meaning that something should get attention over something else because it’s not been given anything, despite the fact that while I don’t think lesser known things don’t deserve attention companies are as a whole a business and should give attention to something already very successful, or it’s used to say that something that is less well known or well liked shouldn’t be getting content over something else like in Smash Discourse. When it can have some value and acting like you have to be successful to get something a remake. Also in regards to me talking about Persona 3 Reload, a lot of them relate to what you say especially or builds on it since when I talked to a friend a day or two after the leak I brought up a lot of the same things While I do somewhat agree with you about the fact that there would be recasts anyway, however the only recast which would be new to Reload would be Junpei, since while Fuuka and Ken’s original voice acting aren’t great they’re gotten performers who have both been received better and have been voicing them during the 2010’s in Wendee Lee and Cindy Robinson. So while new voice acting would have been inevitable. And while I wouldn’t say I’m happy with the recasting, I a a fans of a majority of their main actors I’m not completely against these people, I’ve literally never heard of either Shinjiro or Ken’s and looking at Behind the Voice Actors both only have two pervious roles to their name. But for the others, what I’ve heard them in I’ve tended to like, even if for example I’m not a big fan of the character as is the case with Allegra Clark as Dorothea, and with Fun fact with Heather Gonzalez, I once created a Fire Emblem themed Person idea which had Persona characters using Tokyo Mirage Sessions style Personas who also used the skillsets from the games beforehand, Tellius was theme the Persona 3 focus and Elincia, one of the roles she has was the one who took Yukari’s moveset, and talking about her being Elincia, literally everything I’ve heard her in, Trails of Cold Steel IV and Fire Emblem Heroes is her being a recast, And talking about casting, I can easily imagine Fogado’s voice coming out of Junpei’s mouth and I don’t know why, Also something interesting, while I wouldn’t exactly call myself an OG fan of his, since I don’t remember becoming a strong fan of his work but as it does turn out I have been aware of him since his debut in 2008 as Alan Albright from Ben 10 Alien Force, after which it doesn’t appear he got a new voice role in 8 years, since everything on Behind the Voice Actor at the bottom of the page has him playing characters who I know show up later, like Charlotte Raisin from One Piece, who debuted in the manga in 2016, no matter both the anime and its English dub which would come later or Young Justice Season 3, which debuted in 2019. Everything before 2016 is him voicing his Ben 10 character. Something funny is that when it comes to Persona 3 vs Persona 4’a amount of recasts in the main party, Persona 3 went from having less recasts, since for Persona 3 only the three Y’s, Yu, Yosuke and Yukiko haven’t been recast ever, while Persona 3 only had Fuuka and Ken of the main party, and now Persona 3 had had every party member recasted at least once. So in regards to the No FES content, while I do have something to add the basis idea, that the amount of really important story content from FES is relatively minimal, and that most stuff from it is something that would be changed anyway for entirely separate reasons, I looked it up and Yukari’s second weapon from the shop isn’t a pun on Rainbow and I did notice Silky, so we know that they are making minor changes. And with Silky, while it can imply new content, however based on context it might be a case of replacing something that would be harder to work with, the trailer if the seeming cut is too expediate the process for the trailer it shows that Apsara and Silky make Jack Frost, one of the possible Arcana combination that make a Magician Persona is Priestess and Lovers, and Alp is an early game Lovers Persona who has no modern 3D model in an Atlus RPG since she isn’t in Persona 5 and Royal, SMt V or Soul Hackers 2, while Silky is ij all three and hence is easier to reuse. They could still be changing more and adding more And in regards to the Answer, while I don’t know enough about the social media discourse or know about any Persona focused forums that I could acsees, but it’s a very comtrivsrsail part of the game that some people don’t like that it even exists based on it’s start and what it does to the canon, never mind how the game okay is very contentious, while the contentiousness would meant that you would expect people to be divided on how much it’s a sense upsets them, rather than the idea of a remake not having every piece of content which is another discussion entirely. And in regards to it not being in, while admittedly the precedence of it being in another version it’s also something that isn’t as easy to implement in Reload, you need voice acting for esentually the entire main party and a few side characters like Officer Kurosawa, an entirely new party member and anything needed for them, new animations for Aigis, remaking the models for any unique Shadow in the mode and it’s original boss designs and remaking and updating the dungeon crawling, all for something known fo be contentious and a fair amount of ghe fanbase doesn’t like , the original developer wouldn’t have known its reception nd they had the advantage that it would have been an update to an already completed project, while here it’s extra development on top of the original. While like the voice acting I’m nit as disappointed in it gone as others and I would have would have liked to have see it remade, since It’s an interesting experience I would both like to play and see updated, but I can see why it would be excluded by Atlus. Since the Female Protagonist is a lot more well liked and hence I’m more confused about it not being here, because the extra work and time ranking everything associated with her would have had more appeal and payout

How can you straight up ignore that the Japanese cast for P3R is *not* replaced, as in, everyone ever just plays their Japanese games about Japanese highschoolers wiyh English voice acting? This is an issue I have with KZfaqrs in general. A lot of people play undubbed, mods for that are accessible, and newer repeases straight up include dual audio. If you are used to JP voices, they are the same, and extremely consistent along the entire franchise (only Igor is getting a recast in JP because the original VA has sadly passed away).

More P3 thoughts; I can't see you not playing the game on the channel. I think there's a solid shot of you doing one of your normal 100% playthroughs but I think it's maybe a little more likely that you do something a little bit different in it. Maybe blind? Maybe a gimmick playthrough? Could be anything!

My concerns with P3R (wow, I'm sure it's a coincidence they chose R) are 2 fold. The first being no Vic Mignagna as Junpei. Look I love the original cast but I could see other people playing the other characters. But Junpei? Mignonga *is* that role. He carried half of the game VA quality with just himself. I understand why he isn't coming back but I'm sorry there's no way Junpei's OVA is going to be even close to topped. The second one is just the lack of male party member supports. I actually really like Kenji. I want his Link to be in the game. I just don't want him to be in game at the expense of Junpei's Link.
