I absolutely love the fact that you appreciate a Tamil writer. Most of Murugan's work shows the mankind its own shame. He is an absolute gem of this era.

Agatha Christie is undoubtedly my favorite author. I love And Then There Were None by her. Just like you, it was the first book I read by her, and it was like love at first read! I became obsessed with her work and decided to read her every book.

Fredrick backman (A man called ove). Neil Gaiman (Norse Mythology), Sudha Murthy ( Wise and otherwise) and Jhumpa Lahiri (Interpretor of Maladies) are my favourite authors.

Could not agree more. I will never forget the story of "The kite runner" .. never! A thousand splendid suns is in my tbr. I will soon pick it up. I know it will destroy me. I am saving it for that. And Mr. Bond is phenomenal. His works are something that you will carry it forever once you read it. Great video as well✌️ Recently I have been spellbounded by Christie's "Crooked house". I had never guessed the ending. She is my all time favourite❤️

One of my favourite authors is Paolo Coelho. The beauty with which he combines the message of non-fiction books and the fun of fiction books is mind blowing. The Zahir and Brida are my favorite of his.

This is a very useful video Saumya, because along with the authors you're also telling your favorites by them. My fav of SK is I've got your number (your reco only) I am yet to read Baaz of Anuja Chauhan . Your recommending it so strongly makes me want to read it earlier than I'd intended. I am reading diary of a young girl these days. There are so many must reads I've not read , this is one of them. Jane Austen is again another author, whose books I've not read yet. I look forward to your recos coz they work so well for me, be it Persepolis, I've got your number, Pricey Thakur girls, I've never regretted going by your recommendations and when you ask - write in comments your own recos for me, it just makes me laugh! :D Whatever I'll mention, you'd have read but if you've still not read sister of my heart by Chitra Banerjee like last year - I highly recommend! One of my favorites it is. Also a word of caution , don't go for the sequel - Vine of desires, no matter how intrigued are you to know what happens to the characters next. The sequel is as pathetic as the prequel is wonderful! :)

Read a marathi Novel 'Kosala' written by Bhalchandra Nemade. It is translated in many languages. In English it is Translated as 'Cacoon'.

I have my top 4 which are H. P Lovecraft... Dont have a favorite story Neil Gaiman, smoke and mirrors Clive Barker, Cabal H. G Wells, the islands of dr. Moreau But when when I want to read something different I do read Robert Heinlein and Koji Suzuki

I have had mixed feelings for his books, time and again. I find some parts of his books to be inaccessible sometimes. But I will read all his books. The surreal quality of his books is unparalleled. But in this video, I have talked about authors whose books I have loved for the most part without question.

My favourite authors are Sudha Murthy ( fav: Mahashwetha), Khaled Hosseni ( fav: A thousand splendid suns) And Perumal Murugan( fav : one part woman) ... And Saumya you are like anchor of authors to me😊... Whenever I get confused with which book to start with a particular author I refer to your best book video of those authors...it worked well for Sophie Kinsella and Ruskin bond...tq dear 🤗

I love books which portray the life of common people . I loved Khushwant Singh's train to Pakistan. I am currently in a spree to finish all the works of vs Naipaul, his Indian trilogy is a gem. It very well portrays the inertia of life and its passions. If u have similar recommendations please reply.

I love such books too. Train to Pakistan is a great book. You can also go for Ghachar Ghochar by Vivek Shanbhag. Twilight in Delhi by Ahmed Ali. Jasmine days by Benyamin.

Have you read Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? Or anything by Thomas Hardy? Alexander Dumas? Please do check them out. Holmes specifically spoiled the detective genre for me..... no other investigator interests me now! Not even Poirot.
