Love you John! I hope you are well brother! You have turned this non-reader into a reader 4 years ago! You have no idea the impact you have had on my life and well being through your channel. It all started when I watched your "a day in the life" video 4 years ago, and that led me to "Reading a book a week changed my life," and it has changed my life. No doubt about it, I wouldn't be where I am without you. I went from drop out to graduating with my MBA last weekend! Cheers brother! Please do me a favor... Keep being awesome!!!! You are an inspiration and a fine human. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I am currently reading "tribe of mentors" by tim Ferris and "where the crawdads sing" Delia Owens. You rock!!!

reading «The witcher» series can be also interesting since unlike the most of the fantasy it is not written by an American or English writer. Andrzej Sapkowski is a polish author and you can spot some elements of polish folklore in the stories 🇵🇱

John, I highly recommend you reading anything by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, especially he’s most popular novel “The shadow of the wind”. Many thanks for the great recommendations. Did you know "The Catcher in the Rye" title was taken from a Robert Burns poem (The National Poet of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿) "Comin' Thro the Rye'? and is interpreted as a symbol of the innocence of childhood. You have made me want to re-read " A Farewell to Arms". I highly recommend "Young Mungo" by Douglas Stuart. Thanks again 😎

Hey John, I was wondering why you don't have a goodreads account? I have looked you up to see your ratings and opinions on some books you have on your amazon account, and I couldn't find it. I would appreciate it, and I'm sure a lot of other followers would too, if you added your books on that platform. It is a great community and, for some, the only social media they use. Sincerely, Tao. Btw, I don't know why I wrote so formally, well bye.

I just started re-reading the Hobbit series after many decades. I just completed the Hobbit (three days to read) and I'm starting Fellowship of the Ring tonight. I just never got into the Fantasy genre until now. I think, I will read The Game of Thrones too. Probably start that in two weeks. I am also reading new genres I never did before - but I too hit the classics first. Such as, Mystery (Agatha Christy). Tonight - The Great Gatsby and some I was not so impressed by 'Infested," by Steven King

I want to really recommend a lesser known author's work to you. Laikonik Express by Nick Sweeney is a little masterpiece. From the blurb: Nolan Kennedy is a young American teaching English in Istanbul and hanging out with his alcoholic friend Don Darius. Don might also be the greatest living American novelist judging by the script Kennedy finds in Don's trash. But Don has left town and Kennedy had better find him and persuade him to get serious about the book before Don decides to get serious about the vodka.

I always liked catcher in the rye. I liked how cynical and hypocritical Holden can be, reminds me of myself. He is just a teen that’s directionless, clueless, and scared of future. It’s a book that shows so many ugly nature of a teen but beautiful because it doesn’t need to be.
