I did my surgery in Turkey about a month in a half ago. Yes shedding phase sucks! But about close to 2 months you start to see a bit of growth. The great thing about traveling to Turkey is the long hours of flight and the long hours of surgery that will allow you to eventually sleep on your back frown exhaustion lol. Istanbul is a great place to visit.

@@SimpleWorld08 Ugly duckling stage in hair transplant means, after a month of your procedures, your transplanted hair will fall off even after 3 weeks of surgery then you'll go bald again as if you didn't have a hair transplant, and you have to wait 4-6 months for your transplanted hair to grow. In short, it's the waiting process that you gonna have to deal with while waiting for your hair transplant to grow out of your scalp.

Hey Brett, if you have worries about taking Finasteride, try first topical anti androgens like RU or Pyrilutimide. They wont shut off your hormones and sides efffects are less frequent if there are any. But you need to hop on to a medication otherwise thinning will progress and it will affect your transplanted hair as well.

One free tip, add 20-25 raw curry leaves in your daily diet chart. It will give enough nutrients for the day and also it will take care of your hair and skin as well. Try this for 40 days and you will see the benefits. And you can continue the same forever and it’s up to you. I am also undergone HT before 2 years and recently I stick with this curry leaves daily routine which helps me to stop hair fall and gives natural nourishment. 👍🏽👍🏽

you can have up to 3-4 hair follicles per graft - so when they do the transplant they put grafts with single follicles in it right at the front and working back they use grafts with more follicles this gives the hair a more natural look also explains the "line" you see at the front now. If you had grafts with higher hair follicles in it at the front it would look fake and like a wig lol.

@@lucian5246 Okay, so a total of $5,000 for the two procedures + $1,400 for the two trips (travel & lodging) = $6,400. Where, may I ask, do you live and how much would 9,000 grafts have cost you to get it done at an equally reputable hair restoration clinic in your country?

Take Fin 0.5 mg. I take 1 mg 3 times a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and it works well. If you feel you want to go full power and try 7 mg it will be easier to do that with 3 times a week to 4 times etc. let your body get used to the medication.

As a guy from Turkey, all you need is like $5K. There are so many center in Turkey for this procedure. Actually Brett went to one of the best ones. So it may have cost him little higher than 5K. Another thing is the centers are very popular nowadays. You contact them via whatsapp etc and they schedule you for the procedure and once you land on Istanbul, they pick you up, drop you to a hotel that is very close to the center and you have the procedure next day then go back hotel and the next day they check your hair whether everything is okay or not then give you a lit to take care of your hair for after procedure and lastly you go to airport and fly back to the us . That’s it . It takes like 4 days sth. If you need center names or something just lmk. Ps. I don’t work for them 😄

Your hair looks good. I didn't shed and I did have a shampoo and I also used a capillus hat which prevents shedding you should of been told. Now my hair feels nice but I'm also using a shampoo that supposedly feeds the roots but like you I want to age evenly and not look like I'm trying to hang on to my youth. But you are in front of the camera and you do look good. Congrats on taking that step. I was nervous too and I'm glad I took the opportunity when I did.

Not hopping on fin after a ht is a really really bad idea. Since you did a ht you're commited to this journey and there's no going back now. Even with the remaining 6000-8000 grafts you have left, it probably wont be enough if it keeps thinning/receding further back. Something which you couldve prevented with fin.

@@alllivesmatter3561 Cope. Hair loss can be really fast and unpredictable and is the worst during ages 25-35. Once you lose it, it's gone , finito, no coming bak from that. Apart from a ht, but it will never give realistic look like nature can.

Don't use Finasteride.. its not worth it and its something you'd have to be on for life. It messes up your body big time. My friend went on it and got ED and also extreme depression to a point where he would randomly start crying while we were hanging out. Its not worth the shit it'll do to your body.

@@ZERO-nc7td I was given a high dose initially, 5mg daily and 1mg minoxidil. Minoxidil was the worst as it gave me heart palpitations and wouldnt let me sleep. I didnt sleep for like 2 months. Was hell. I think that sped up my hair loss. I stopped it and soon normalized. I still had issues sleeping but at least my heart beatings stopped. I kept taking finasteride but lowered the dose to 1mg per day as that is the recommended dose. I'm taking sleeping pills to sleep and I've been getting better. Recently, I've been getting depressed thoughts.. could also be mid life crisis thing though. It sucks. But I'm afraid of stopping finasteride. I think it has helped or improved hair loss somewhat.
