By 1968 Morrison was rich but still loved downtown and underground life style...one of a kind, a true spiritual man.

We use to sneak in Whiskey a Go go in 1967 at age 15 watching different bands and older friends buying us a beer. The Doors was our favorite group! Jim was truly amazing live...

Jims favorite Liquor store still across the street from the Doors workshop. Also, if you go the Barneys, sit at the corner of the bar where Jim used to sit and order a Miller beer. Jims favorite beer of choice. There is a plague inlaid in the bar of his exact spot where he sat. Cheers!

I think the Morrison Apartments building is the place where he stayed on the rooftop before the Doors started, correct !? It's shown in the movie too, when Jim and Pam first sleep together on the rooftop and "Indian Summer" is playing. And the street just downstairs , Westminster Avenue, is in the scene where he sees her walking down the street and follows her. I am living in LA now, freshly arrived - but I come from France and I've been to his last Apartment ( just outside ) in "Le Marais" Neighborhood, awesome neighborhood - and Pere Lachaise Cemetery

He could have bought a house like Ray did but he preferred to live in cheap motels. Interesting. He did have a Mustang. So he did like Cars. But not houses. Or families. To each, his own. That Motel room has been turned into a Shrine with all that Graffiti. I guess people want to connect to him somehow and communicate so they leave their messages. Same thing happened at his Tombstone. It’s all marked up. I guess it’s better than being forgotten. 👏🏻😎🎸

Chris E. Chris Ive looked for it but cant find it Happen to have a copy in the cloud perhaps? All the other remixes I have found are too “housey.” I am a Doors nut and puritan and don’t really like any mixes or tampering with their greatness. Love Zeppelin, the Stones, the Beatles and Pink Floyd but I think the Doors are the absolute best. Nothing is as eerie yet beautiful. Most remixes especially of the Doors are garbage. Messing with a song as iconic and near perfect as Riders on the Storm is dangerous and almost unethical. Lol. But this one keeps most of the songs essence in tact while giving it a subtle modern change. Its so good.

Je le vois plutôt Solitaire, étrange 🤷‍♀️et le moins qu’on puisse dire, c’est qu’il a hébergé dans des endroits sordides, rien de luxurieux... en parfait inconnu🤷‍♀️‼️💕
