I've had two Uber drivers pitch me on MLM and say it made them ridiculously rich. Why are you driving Uber at 2am then?

They’re probably doing it to find more down line actually. I drove with Uber to make ends meet. Never drove anyone I knew beforehand. Could be easy for drivers to pitch MLMs since they probably won’t drive the same person again

Once people read MLM, they ignore the rest of what was said. I think it sounded like a frustrated husband/father and a wife that are not on the same page. It also sounded like they need therapy before the MLM due to words like calling the wife brainwashed. My wife believes things I don't but I wouldn't ever call her brainwashed so clearly other things are happening (or not happening) that causes issues in this family aside from just the MLM piece. Now it's hard to make it a family therapy time when it's a message that doesn't answer a lot of questions. I wish it was a phone call because there might have been actual resolution.

The Ramsey show is very easy to deflect anything negative around MLM.....
@wiseowl2020
@wiseowl2020 3 жыл бұрын
It's not Dave Ramsey talking to this guy. It's John, a professional pychologist, and he's focused on the people in these situations. In this case, the MLM is a symptom of a problem and John is correct to direct the husband to seek marriage counseling to help his relationship. The wife may actually be addicted to the MLM and need help just like any other addict. Or she may simply be unable to admit she made a mistake by investing in it. Either way, counseling is the right answer.

I've heard Ramsey express support of MLMs. But depending on the MLM, the business practices can be extremely predatory. They purposefully target vulnerable women. That being said, I feel they focused on the husband instead of the wife's mishandling of their funds. She has to pay her coach to continue. On average she is making maybe $5 a day while signing a check for thousands for unsold product. Not only that, the social strain of her calling friends and family and bombarding personal social media accts to guilt others into the business. The wife and husband need to join together and get therapy seek a pastors council-- get on the same page financially and see if this business is a money maker or a money breaker. As a stay at home mom, I vow to never fall for the predatory practices of an MLM. 🤷🏻‍♀️Just saying.
