Eh, it's a pretty decent song but pales in comparison to most of the truely incredible songs on this classic of an album, imho. The only real dud on this masterpiece is, imho, Drunk And Hot Girls, which is a shame because it's a track with friggin Mos Def on it !

honestly I think people don't like it because they take it as Kanye advocating for what he is talking about but I feel like his intention was him playing more of a caricature of modern love at the time and how distorted it is. Especially with that beautiful Mos Def bridge. I saw in an interview Kanye talked about not liking some of drakes music because drake would be kinda gross sometimes (which he said he didn't mind and recognised that he does himself) but followed it up by saying that he liked too put redemption verses at the ends of his songs in that manner where it flips the narrative on it's head. He listed Gold Digger as a prime example at the end of the dude complaining about gold diggers getting rich and abandoning his loyal woman. I think with that context people might dislike Drunk and Hot Girls less.

If you know anything about hip hop, then you know what he said is true. Graduation went toe to toe with 50 cent and gangsta rap which at that point was dominating the charts. After Graduation, hip hop evolved into a different direction and you can see it by the albums that came after it.

What's crazy is I remember listening to this whole album a long time ago but some of the skippable songs I don't remember AT ALL! I actually forgot they were even there! I really love the sample/melody and overall layer of sounds going on in that beat. I remember when the album dropped my cousin Vic bumped that song in the whip. Not many artist in music history have 10 classic albums 7 of his own and 3 as a producer for the rappers albums below.. Jay z - the blueprint Common - Be Pusha T - Daytona kanye has 84 platinum songs out of 184 songs 75 Grammy nominations.. the 4th most ever kanye won 24 Grammy's in total. Classics 🎖 Mainstream success 🎖 Critically acclaimed 🎖 All huge achievements it's super rare and kanye has influenced pretty much everyone we listen to. You can hate the man but you can't deny his one of a kind legendary career.
