In this video, I’m giving you all of my pricing balloon garland mistakes I’ve made and definitely hate to admit! These are mistakes I usually keep to myself because the pricing was always challenging for me.
Learning how to price your balloon garlands is essential but there are certain things you’re probably missing as I did when I first started with my balloon business.

i’m stating with balloon decorations, when I have a client and I say my prices they always think their are to elevated 😒 when I only charge for the balloons and an extra $120 for labor.. 😔 they said “but I have an Amazon balloon garland kit” well then do it yourself.

Look at the comments and see what other people are charging! Your prices aren't elevated at all...in fact, you're not charging enough. I hope this encourages you to keep raising your prices. Everything your saying makes so much sense to the extent of you quoting how much you would charge and me thinking wow could I get away with asking for that. Furthermore me saying “get away” when I’m charging for a Service I’ve put time and effort into shouldn’t be the words it’s definitely a mind set and the shift need to happen so I don’t undercharge and sell myself short. Ok this is such a helpful video and I needed to hear mistake / tip #1 because in 2020 & 2021 I wouldn’t track anything, my delivery fee was a small flat rate, and most of the time i was paying for gas with my personal debit card 🤦🏻‍♀️ but this year I’m doing things differently and keeping track of my experiences.

I love how you say we second guess ourselves and our worth that’s why we don’t charge enough and that is so true! I think to myself, I’m just starting out.. I can’t charge that much… I have only actually had about 15 paying jobs is it fair that I charge as much as people who have been doing this for years… but hell yes I should or I’m not in the right business lol

Hi, I am so glad you are giving us such needed advice, I love love decorating, I do my table scapes for every single holiday in the year, I do my church banquet, I have done a few weddings, birthday,my son has a all white party every year, and I do that too, but I am learning to perfect my balloon garlands, but I am so nervous about pricing, I just did a birthday, includes chair, chair covers,backdrop and a balloon garland, and I only charged $150, 😂😂

We've got to meet. I promise you EVERYTIME I feel like quitting I see you on my feed. I think hey may girl lets see what she's progressing in and BAM ! And I appreciate the honesty. I just came to the acceptance that the people I WANTED to help/service.. are just not my customer base. This year I've turned down ore than I've actually booked. But its ok because it is A LOT OF WORK. So Ive stuck to my prices. And I list list list EVERYTHING. Because me and my family cannot pay for your party, our apologies. LOL BE STRONG !

I totally understand this. But you can’t allow this to enter your world. You have to continue to say no to discounts and eventually you’ll find your dream client. Just focus on what you want vs what you don’t want.

Got ALOT to learn about pricing. I tried to guesstimate the price for your valentine balloon garland...and I guessed between $250 to $300s. I was WAYYYY OFF... Goes to show how much I know about pricing🤦‍♀️...Definitely need more schooling on this subject so thank you for this...

I think that’s a good guess because last year, I was charging $350 for about a 10-ft balloon garland. So you’re not that far off ☺️

Pricing is the hardest! One thing that hangs me up is sourcing balloons & products... do you have a favorite online wholesaler? Where I'm located I don't have a party store nearby to shop in person.

If you click in the description box below this video, I list all of the balloon brands and their websites/Instagram handles. Usually, they will let you know their distributors in your area. I normally use Tuftex and their distributors in Texas, New York and Miami.

Good morning hon...I am about to restart my balloon business. I appreciate all the information you have given. My question is how do I charge if the client provides ALL the materials?

I wouldn’t do the event if a person has the materials. They will always lowball and complain about your price because now it’s just labor. I would always say to the clients “My price includes all materials to guarantee my work.” And if they can’t pay full price, onto the next 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Here in montreal, Canada, they dont want to pay more than a 130$.... even that 3/4 give up after i ask them this price for a 10ft garland... 🤦🏾‍♀️ i know its worth more but they still sticking on the point that they see ballons kit on amazon for 20$ so they dont understand why it can be 130$ 🙄 they dont realise that im working for it. I delever with à 12foots truck that drink a lot of gaz and my time are not free.

There are clients for every type of business. I bet there are people who drive expensive cars where you live. Those are the clients you want for your business, not the people who don’t see the value. You just have to market to the ones driving the house cars and have the nice houses! 🤩🤩

I would do Gemar but make sure you’re not spending money from you and that your client is paying for your supplies! The only time I used Amazon balloons were for myself to create mock-ups. That’s the only exception 🩵

“My price is my price” 😂😂 I’m from a lower income community but I value myself more than I do “helping my people” because the discounts always bring the nightmare clients. Give yourself grace and know that your dream clients will pay no matter what community they’re in. But stick to your prices and your people will find you!

How many balloons is considered a foot?

It just depends on how inflated the balloons are. I would make a garland, keep track of the number balloons you use and then measure it out to know the average balloons per foot!
