I am a family law attorney. I do not take clients who want sole custody unless there's absolutely heinous abuse of a child or the other parent is almost totallt absent. It doesn't even really matter if they're abusing you, as long as they're a half decent parent. If you want sole custody without there being a danger to your kid, you shouldn't have your kid. Your kid won't be 5 forever. They'll be 15 one day and they'll hate you for taking about their other most special person.

I think you should be very specific about what state you’re in because Oregon doesn’t offer up all the different forms of custody that you were talking about. It’s either sole custody or no custody.
