That’s the shifter that Shelby used on the Cobras. He rotated it 180 degrees because the engine was so far back!

I like this car. I remember back in the early 1980s Nashville, TN. The car lot was named tusculum motors and I was driving buy and stopped in and there was a hard top 1967 mustang gta sitting there for sale. It was the same color burnt amber with a off white vinyl top and off white enterior. I had never before seen this color combination until now on this video. The car was a S code with every available option. It had the same ribbed metal tail light panel on it. It even had the thunderbird type tilt away steering wheel as you enter the car for easy access. It had disc brakes and air conditioning too. I checked the vin on the dash with a factory shop manual I had got and it was a factory big block 390 car. The owner of the car lot told me that someone else from Memphis was coming down to buy it. I would have bought it on the spot that day if I could have. It was pretty rare.

That's a very unique color on a beautiful car. ! The 390 is an under rated motor. Great video, Michael.

Good job men on your content. I own a 67 GTA 289 Springtime yellow with saddle int. fastback. I have never seen another Mustang with saddle int. Yes that combo is quite rare. Man you two find really nice cars. Good health.

Fantastic car. The burnt amber is beautiful. Are the wheels custom painted? They look like they are gloss gun metal gray Torq Thrust Ds.

While I love the 65/66, they are a lot of Falcon under the skin. 67/68 kept the style of earlier cars but became a bit more refined and aggressive, losing the Falcon underpinnings. I’ve had both, 65 A-code 2+2 (76 but totaled by a drunk in 82) and still driving my 67 GT500 since 1977.

It'll get up to the speed limit and exceed it easily...no schitt! Does anybody ever notice that the only people driving these cars are old doofous's because young people can't begin to afford one. That's a shame because I remember when young people were the only ones that drove them...this car could be bought for $4000 or less in 67. Now they'll ask you $80-$100,000 for it. And some old man...my age, in sandals and shitty looking levi shorts and aviator glasses to hide the bags around his eyes...will tell you it'll go faster than the speed limit. Yup...rapidly fading brilliance.
