Prom is here, and I've received a lot of request for a masquerade look, but you easily wear this look without a mask. You can custom fit your own colors, it does not have to be the same purple color I used here. Makeup is versatile, you can do whatever you want!

I made the mask myself! Out of plastic and lace =)
The dress I am wearing is a couture dress, purchased at a second hand store, and tailored and fixed by myself.

I don't get why people have this whole "ugh new michelle vs old michelle" issue. I think she was great and still is. Her technique and incredible teaching skills haven't changed. I'v been watching since I was like 12 and 6 years later she still manages to teach me things.

epualc this comment was written back when she was still working for lancome. i agree, her channel has changed a LOT and its really not about makeup anymore. however he video editing skills have shot through the roof since then in my opinion. i wish her videos could be more frequent and have more makeup tutorials but tbh she paved the way for hundreds of other beauty gurus on youtube so i can't even complain that after, what, 10+ years? she's tired of the same old thing

I miss this so much. This is the video that taught me how to do makeup even though I only used eyeliner at the time. Many years later, doing makeup and using it such as foundation, powder and eyeshadow just came so naturally for me. I don’t know if Michelle will ever see this. But she is truly my inspiration and my role model. My nickname is coincidentally bunny as well haha crazy right? Love you Michelle thank you for being there when I felt so alone in my life and being there. Even though you don’t do KZfaq anymore, or really go on social media that much, I still adore you and keep you as a beautiful memory. - new generation bunny

Michelle - I know you're on a KZfaq break, so I don't know if you'll read this. If you do, I just want to tell you that I love this video so much! I love how many drugstore products were used. Those Revlon cream eye shadows are the base of so many of my looks! So easy and versatile. You're an amazing artist with a great eye for color! I've never considered how a dark base brings out any color you place over it. I bookmarked this video years ago for a masquerade dance piece I was in. I gotta say, a lot of this still holds up during my rewatch at least 5 years later.

I love the fact that you are using drugstore make-up or actually beauty supply make-up like NYX and Revlon...both are my favorite brands. I have so many brands of make-up in my maek-up bag..and I will always stick with my drugstore make-up, so economical, affordable and long lasting..no need to spend hundreds of dollars at a department store...lol.

I was so inspired by this look, and being a big fan of yours - I tried to make a duplicate mask with lace and plastic for halloween. I carefully traced your picture of your mask on the plastic. I also used a picture of a "butter-fly" mask on google as a reference. What I noticed was that the mask you CLAIMED you made and the one on google had the SAME lace patterns and shape- making it seem like it wasnt home-made. So I just spent countless hours trying to duplicate a mask that was bought. Yay.
