6 different Creality filaments on the test: CR-PLA, CR-SILK, CR-PETG, CR-TPU, CR-ABS and CR-Carbon (enhanced version, Nylon carbon fiber).
In this first part (after analyzing the specifications) I am 3D printing the temperature tower to choose printing temperature for my test specimens. The total printing time was approximately 40 hours. All test specimens can be downloaded from mytechfun.com website. PLA, PETG and ABS filaments I bought myself. TPU, SILK and Carbon filaments are sent to me by Creality. Mechanical tests will be in part 2: • Creality filament revi...

I ordered a ender v2 with some add ons because of your detailed videos. I nearly watched all your videos. Thank you for detailed information very clean and easy to understand.

Great video Igor! I bought a creality K1 and they send me 2 boxes of pla. One was the Ender PLA and the other box was their CR PLA. I ran a benchy with the Ender PLA and it was beautiful. Can't wait to receive the K1

Hi, nice review for the filament! Have you ever heard, or even try the HP-PLA line from Creality? Would be awesome if you could made a video about it..

Jealous of how easy that bed adhesion is for the PA-CF. I bought some 3DX NylonX PA12-CF and can't stop the awful warping. Tried glue stick, tried every build surface (Garolite, smooth and textured PEI). With enough glue stick it does lay the first layer okay, but I'm getting significant warping after subsequent layers despite a high bed temperature (120C) *and* an enclosure. And yes my filament was dried before and during printing.

120C is too much for Nylon based material (but I don't have experience with NylonX so far). Try to turn off the part cooling (or max 10%) and no opening the enclosure during 3D printing..

oh, I more thing I know some of you are going to say PETG is Harder to print with than pal. So I got som MH Build Series Play to try that and more or less, same issues. I also that might help you out there, is that if I use on my Ender a non brass nozzle I get a thermal runaway error. When I use the Brass Nozzle I don't have any temp errors. YES, I have PID tuned the hotend after changing nozzles. So that also leads me to think my Bead room temp is the issue. These cheep Main board just don't have high enough quality to keep the temp constant. I checked the hotend with a Temp gun and it is all over the place. The only thing I have not tried yet is to use the Creality Heat box that I just bought.

Such a good Video! have you tried to print the CR-Carbon on the sermoon D1?? i just bougth one but i dont khow if its capable to do, beceause its has a ptef inside in the hotend :(, i hove you can help me, thanxs!
@MyTechFun
@MyTechFun 2 жыл бұрын
Printing on Sermoon D1: yes, but don't go over 240-245C. Use some filament dryer (or use full enclosure) and you need hardened nozzle, use some glue stick if necessary.

3 out of 6 I bought myself in local store (PLA, PETG, ABS), rest is sent by Creality.

maybe I just missed something, but I would like to know before you compare filament how are you printing in this controlled test. Ie: type of printer, Hotend (is it stock), Fans for cooling(what percentage of fan speed did nyou use and did you use the same speed for each layer), and room temp( is it a controlled environment as to the temperature). All this is very important information to me. Also how well does the filament melt/flow out of the nozzel. I keep getting nozzle jams where At first cleaning of the nozzle I can get filament to print/flow OK. After 2-3 prints the nozzle get semi clogged where the filament just will not flow very well at all. and I can not get layers to stick together. And changing setting in the slicer does not help. Using the temp does not help. So I am looking for better filament. I used to use Amazon Basic PETG and it Flowed great. Melted great I have tried 4 or 5 different filament since Amazon discontinued Amazon Basic filament.

Most of this is mentioned in the video: Ender3V2 upgraded to Micro Swiss all metal hotend + direct drive. Profiles, Cura Generic PLA, PETG, ABS... I only reduced the retraction to 1mm because of direct drive.

@@MyTechFun I also have the Microswiss hotend on my Ender 3 Max and trying to get or print a permanent mount for my Zesty Nimble Direct drive V3. If it is not a head issue then I don't know what to try. Except different filament. I loved Amazon Basics PETG then they discontinued it. MatterHacker MH Build Series PETG was working pretty well on my TEVO Tornado. Does not seem to work on my Ender 3 Max. There has got to be something in your Settings, equipment or environment that is different than mine. I have the Creality 4.2.7 main board.

Can we use these filaments for FLSUN Super Racer? And also can we print ABS without any enclosure?
@MyTechFun
@MyTechFun Жыл бұрын
For FLSUN SR from this: PLA, PETG easily. TPU: this one is too soft for bowden extruder. Try with some 98 hardness. ABS: only smaller parts. Larger may warp and crack without enclosure (but depend of the room temperature too). But don't go over 240°C with SR.
@easy_3d
@easy_3d Жыл бұрын
@@MyTechFun PETG profile is not available in SR. Only PLA and ABS. For upgrading to OMG extruder, do we need to configure steps after installing the new extruder?

hi again sorry for all the comments but I really want to figure out my issue and start printing. I have some good projects already designed ready to print. I am watching you video as I type. I see that I did watch and buy the same Creality printer enclosure and eSun dry box. As I said I have not tried the enclosure ,yet. do you think that will do the trick?
