Quick n scale video of a atlas gp38-2 in New England Central paint scheme pulling a freight around my layout and also doing a run up the interchange spur I have with a custom (almost, was previously a UP before I removed the UP & added the LLPX decals) gp38-2 trailing in the Locomotive Leasing Partners (I believe that’s what LLPX pretty such stands for) trailing.

Thanks Bud🙂, just for a lil laugh when I was gr 4 I think these were some model rr vids that blew my mind away kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r7alnbF-r-C3iok.html with the title for the series, my 9yo self actually thought a individual built the whole country of America on a personal layout lmao, now that I’m much older and can read better I realize it was a series filmed by model rr club friends. Parts 3-7 by YT user Wesloit were my fav 😂

All model railroaders sure do like to have a op session even though if not based or recreated on a actual subdivision. Myself I actually am just finishing a few touch ups on my layout. I plan to extend the yard a bit!

how did you learn to build your layout?

Hmmm, well going back to when I was in gr 6 my parents got me the woodland scenics scenic ridge lightweight layout kit for Christmas. My dad helped me build it, we followed the instruction book that came with the kit very carefully and took a couple years (However at times we did go months without doing anything) but completed it eventually and added on another city with the techniques we learned from the kit. Had it until around 2018 but by then power was just a nightmare so made the tuff decision to say farewell to Scenic Ridge and start something new. Which is what the second town in my layout is, the new start after Scenic Ridge was first town where my opening shots were filmed was the add on after scenic ridge in 2015. So basically just always continued to practice the techniques I learned in the book and buy the right supplies from my hobby shop (ie- the woodland scenics smooth-it mix for the roads, woodland scenics turf for the grass which I got to stick with the woodland scenics scenic cement etc). Really isn’t as hard as it seems, always happy to give you a piece or 2 of advice if you were ever curious about any certain steps & such for this wonderful hobby 🙂

Hello, hmmm videos of the abandoned state? I actually think I’ll try to make it to downtown Brampton this coming Saturday Dec 17 for the 1yr anniversary since it’s demise and film the dormant line state, but all depends on the weather, video just might be filmed a day early (Dec 16) if the weather looks to be better that day instead but I’ll see

@@NscalefromOntario ok Thanks for the updates I really appreciate it I really miss this line since I was really small the one big thing I wanted was to see a actual train go through here since i started watching your channel I was really happy to see a train because since I was young that railway was always a mystery to me I thought it was abandoned so I was really happy when I stumbled across your channel about a year ago so now I know about this line thank you!

@@theguywiththedinos1917 awww sorry you never got to see a actual train go through it for yourself but glad you like my stuff it’ll always up here for you to enjoy🙂👍. Which was the reason I went all out filming it absolutely whenever I could between 2019-2021 as i knew Orangeville had become sour about keeping their rail line because of its operating costs and since so many predicted it would soon be meeting its demise, being that I had the free time knew I should take advantage while I could. -If only I had more footage back when CANDO rail still ran the line (the company before Trillium) as so many much preferred their black 4014 & 4015 locomotives they had between 2016-18 😞😔😔but still thankful the line survived just long enough for me to have gotten the trillium footage

@@NscalefromOntario yes the old cando train I never knew there were 2 trains on this railway because when I first stumbled across your channel I was watching the videos of the old Gatx switcher so once I scrolled down I found your videos on the cando locomotive it’s history so know every time I see that crossing where the main tracks cross the obry down in Brampton it brings back so much nostalgia, The Obrys good old days.
