A fresh N64?! This console was absolutely cutting edge back then. I remember playing Shadows of the Empire and Goldeneye for the first time and it was INSANE how fresh it felt. We only ever had a few games (they were so expensive) and so you really had to work at making those games worthwhile, even when they were super frustrating.

I love retro consoles. I’m sad I never grew up in a time when all these people have such fond memories and I’m so fucking jealous. I’m growing up in the “worst time” with paywalls and dumbass online multiplayer and no friends and COVID and it’s awful. I wish I had what my dad and mom had, just sitting in the living room playing an old console side by side with friends. I don’t care about graphics, I love the games on the retro consoles I have today, but I’ll never have fond memories or nostalgia for these things and that’s something I wish I had and can say I had. I’m happy for anyone who got to experience this joyous console and other things as a child. I envy your experiences. Edit: so a lot of people are confused about what I’m saying, I have played these consoles and I own every Nintendo, Xbox and PlayStation console. I’m not talking about just playing the consoles in general, I’m talking about having nostalgia for them.

I still have one still working up until now. I placed it on an aquarium. I am preserving it because my father gave it to me months before him and my mother got divorced and never see him again. I was around 5 back then so I don't know anything is happening. Until around 2013 when I found out that he died. He was the one who introduced gaming to me. I grew up playing the Ocarina of time and still playing it. I owe him a lot.

The N64 is by far one of my favorite consoles of all time, it had a really great catalog of games for it like: Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Banjo-kazooie, Turok, Star Wars, DK 64, etc, the list just goes on and on, I'm happy that I still have mine :)

I remember commenting on this video 2 years ago saying I wanted to start a game console collection and get an N64 as first console. Well, now I've changed idea and I started a collection of iPhones and old Nokia phones, but I still got a Nintendo 64 as a gift from one of my father's friend, and it also has the original Mario 64 game, and it's also in the same colouration as the one unboxed by the relaxing end.

I was given an N64 for Christmas one year in the 2000s. It was my favorite system. I spent many hours playing it. It has some great games.

When I saw the commercial for Nintendo 64 I thought there was no way my parents could afford it and that it had to cost an impossible amount of money, so I didn't bother asking for it. I got it for my brithday in 1997, and assumed that my parents found a N64 box in my neighbor's garbage and used it to pack my gift in.

My dad bought me a Nintendo 64 from a yard sale as my first console. Loved that thing so much It came with Goldeneye, Bad Fur day , Star Fox, Mario 64, two Pokémon games and Star Wars Rogue squadron. An absolute steal thinking back on it I regret losing it 😖 gonna have to settle for the Nintendo switch expansion pack :P

I was not born in the 1990's or anything but my bigger cousin had the console and the games and he let me borrow it.I got insanly addicted to super mario 64.Its my favorite mario game and still is.Its so different from the rest.Sadly i have to return the console to him in august of this year it has been fun years , Thank you for giving me my childhood mario (lets hope i can buy my own console) plus emulators dont give me the same experience as the console

The N64 was my very first console when I was very young. Loved that thing to death . Everyday after school I'd be playing that console but not but not all the time I also like to go outside to but I loved the N64. Didn't have many games for it though I only had three if I remember. One I know we'll and was my favorite was Mario Kart 64, I had a baseball game and a boxing game if I remember correctly. Don't know what happend to the console though that was a very long time ago. Probably burned in my old house long time ago. Oh well. Heck now I think about it i wish I had more games to the n64 back then. But all I can say is good times.

I was around 11 when this came along. My favourite game of all time, Ocarina of time. Goldeneye was great too. But Ocarina was just pure magic.

I just picked up a boxed n64 at my local game store today didn’t come with the manual and poster but my box was pretty crisp, came with a black controller and all around I am not disappointed as my game collection continues to grow

My N64 was passed down from my dad. It still works to this day. Mario Kart 64 is an awesome game. The Wii was my first first console.

This was the console that marked my childhood, along with what I consider to be your best game, Banjoo Kazooie :)

Imagine all the memories of people just ripping these things open in a matter of seconds and playing within a few minutes. Now you have to set up accounts, enter cc information, and download the 90gb game you physically already own.

I remember playing it when i was a kid in a supermarket kid's space. Mom would do buying and i was having fun playing super mario 64 and Pokémon stadium, good times.

What an amazing moment to capture over two decades later! Thank you so much for sharing this with us! So many emotions! As much as this system was the beginning of something beautiful, I am absolutely terrified video gaming is already over these days. 😔 Really sucks.... seems like we went all the way too fast. I'll tell you this though, if something "new" is innovated at this point I still believe Nintendo will be the people to do it, everybody else is just interested in what has already been, and making a dollar.
