Madali lng sabihin pero mahirap gawin. a) move to US (obtain referral from Canadian Health System for treatment as US requires health ins obtained in US. b) visit US as tourist, seek immediate help in aprestigious hosp (without bragging play dumb, complain pain almost dying till admitted, no ID) c) verify if qualified for disability pension after amputation. d) if decide to go back home, don’t brag from Canada, hospitals will kill you dry. Canadian doctors who treated you gained experience from you as Guinea pig. If is an aggressive tumor, since doctors cut you, you’re gone already.

Today, May 14,2024, I was given 2 steroid injections after 8 months. Nakakafrustrate talaga dito sa tagal bago ka makakuha ng appointments to see a specialists. Yes libre dahil may OHIP card. But hindi lahat ng medical libre dito sa Canada. Kailangan may additional private medical insurance din. I paid C$50 fr the meds. Hindi daw libre dahil wala akong private insurance. Nakaka relate kami sa case ni Arnold. Yung sister ng son in law ko, Canadian puti pa sila.. sumasakit likod nya palagi. Xray’d.. referred sa iba ibang doctors. Inabot nearly a year. Took so long to get an MRI appointment. Result: stage 4 bone cancer na. Maghahabla yung family nya.

That’s one of the disadvantages of Universal Healthcare. You get a wholesale quality of medical care. In Kuya Arnold’s case, it’s not about free but quality of care. He’s so happy not paying anything but who cares for money if your elbow is like that. A poor choice for me. It just sad. The best thing to do is go to the Philippines for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

Arnold baka pde mo magtry magpatingin sa Jewish General Hospital sa Montreal. Maganda kasi ang service nila doon based on my experience. Marami din kasi specialists doon. At minomonitor ka din nila. Try mo lang din ipursueyung gofundme. I will pray for you 🙏. Walang impossible po sa Panginoon. Kapit lang po. 🙏

For future reference Ina, please tell your callers to get always a copy of their doctors visit. Kailangan may kopya ng medical records para for second opinion, at itanong kaagad kung ano pa ang mga option. Hanggang hindi satisfied ang pasyente, sa explanation ng provider para malinao sa kanya kung ano ang magiging final decision ng pasyente at siyempre sasabihin din niya sa family.

Wag po nating isipin na porque Canada, it has the best doctors. So far, from others and my own experience, its worst than Philippines in terms of service and doctors. Wag manghinayang umuwi ng pinas at kahit gumastos ng kaunti. I have experienced really great service sa pinas pag dating sa doctor and medical services. Wag po natin yun maliitin. We will never be top health care workers around the world for no reason. Plus, there are insurances and medical plans in ph you can avail to be covered with medical expenses. When I was working back in PH, i dont pay for any medical visits and test bc of work insurances. And these insurances has option na maavail mo even as an individual. Let's pray for kuya Arnold. And hope na may iba pang solusyon than amputate. 🙏🏻

Arnold kung sakali ma amputate ka opinyon ko lang just accept it at least mawawala na pain at maiwasan na din uminom ng pain reliever, who knows baka i categorise ka na as disable mabigyan ka monthly, isipin mo na lang na aksidente ka or napalaban sa giyera , opinyon ko lang ito kasi andyan na

In canada they will not treat you unless you are 50/50. My wife had to wait 3 months for egd she self medicated until gumaling sya on her own

Ano ba ang status nya sa Canada tourist ba siya ?Dito sa Alberta ay pumunta lang sa emergency hospital I am sure na gagamutin siya basta may health card siya, walang ifs and buts.

Many Canadians go to US for specialized treatment. TGCT tawag diyan at may gamot diyan, TURALIO ang pangalan. Contact an expert in US and see what they can do to save your arm. US docs will try everything and only do an amputation as a very last resort. Most of medical innovations, latest treatments and medications are in USA.

Due to heavy backlog, the province of BC sent an initial 25,000 patients just across the border in Washington State last year for cancer screening and treatment. The BC Government plans to send an extra 80,000 patients to various Private clinics across the border. BC Taxpayers will fund all the travel arrangements and treatment costs. The decision to get treatment in the US was ironic as many Canadians are against Private Healthcare services as they deem it to be Elitist.

It will be a long battle kse dapat yun first doctor na tumingin sa kanya should have discuss to amputate his arm rather than letting him suffer to much. Ang maituturin lang nyang blessing kung matatawag nga itong blessing eh wala syang ginastos. Bk kung sa Pilipinas yan ubos lahat ng kabuhayan nya at d pa sya gumagaling. San ang location nya? Depende siguro sa specialty ng hospital... in fairness with the health system here in canada, i would say na siguro kung nasa pinas ako its either baon na kami sa utang or patay na siguro ko... am here from toronto and since 2010, i had undergone 4 surgeries na and an angioplasty..i was diagnosed with breast CA 2015, and nag recurrent ng 2018 and had left mastectomy and so on

@@inanutshellvlog Magugulat ka sa Kaso ng Old Age Pension sa Canada like my mother, galit lahat ng Filipino Canadians unfair daw , sila 30 to 40 yrs nag work then ang Pension 900 to 1100 pero yung mga di nag work umaabot ng 1800 almost libre pa lahat , magandang topic ito pati nga ako nabigla syempre mSaya kami para sa Nanay ko

Very sad and tragic. Not sure how the health system in CAN , sometimes free = delays in care. Here in US healthcare is NOT free but no way that’s gonna fly, initial onset they bring in the whole gang like vascular surgery, ortho, onc. etc Amputation is last resort as they wanna always save a limb for functional use, and they dont wait up even NOT urgent cos doctors and hospital gets reported, scare of lawsuit . I hope this podcast gets you somewhere.

dto sa US khit wala kang pera tatanggapin sa Hospital at bibigyan nang Lunas kaagad agad,ksi natatakot na ma sue ang mga hospital dto lalo na you an urgent care,di uso dto sa US na i discriminate ka dhil wala kang pera,as soon you need emergency I admit ka nila kaagad di ka nila tatanungin if you have a money or not agad agad gagamutinka nila lalu na ganyang katayuan mo Arnold,sorry sa na experience mo dyan sa Canada,watching from Michigan USA.

as many Filipino Canadian said na libre ang hospilization ninyo dba,but here in the US as long you have a health insurance they don't ask you money you must show only your health insurance card and then they admit asap,not like in Canada khit PR or Canadian citizen ka dka nila agad agad I a admit(50/50) lalo na kung mahaba ang Pila dba? kaya better pa din dto sa US than Canadian Heathcare,pati nga illegal allien ginagamot dto dahil maraming Charity Foundation na tumutulong at dka pababayaran.
