Hi friends! Today we are releasing another episode of our new KZfaq series Name That Herb!
Here's how it works: I'll give you a series of clues about a specific medicinal plant, and your challenge is to guess which herb I'm describing. For this episode, I’ve chosen a medicinal powerhouse that doesn't get enough credit in the modern world of herbalism, but it is still an oldy and agoody! Can you Name That Herb?

I was thinking in Juniper but then you said it grew in the northern climates and I had a pair of juniper trees thriving in my yard in South Texas at my last house so I second-guessed myself. Now I'm thinking about sneaking back over and grabbing a clipping

@@JenniRoseHGH At the moment, I am not feeling so lucky since they are my nemesis every spring causing a lot of allergy reaction. :). Also, I’ve never used the berries for anything since I have never fully understood how to safely use them or when to harvest them.

Really nice video! Great clues and information with a wonderful sense of humor that shows in the second half. (It was the blood sugar clue that gave it away for me with knowing it was a conifer)

@deeperthanmemorywithmaryai9900 my last cat got snatched away by an owl or something. She cleaned out a bunch of em. I hate mice and rats but I don't want to use poison or get another cat. I'm thinking of baking soda mixed in peanut butter, but I imagine that would be a terrible way to go for the little demons.

Didn't know Juniper dealt with tapeworms. I grow wormwood as an anti parasite and know where i can get black walnut hulls. I have uet to find a juniper bush but a lot of my property is steep slopes so it may be there just difficult to access.

Juniper. EDIT: Got it! It was the Biblical hint that gave it away for me. I had to look it up. The kjv says "broom tree." Do you know why that may be? Does it make sense that it was used to make rooms for house cleaning -- or possibly for gut cleaning? I always thought for sweeping the house, but now I'm not sure. 🤷♀️

Hello. I have some doubts about how much is too much when it comes to drink tea every day. I started my first cure ever this year since the nettle sting arrived. I drink since then at least 2 liters every day. I started to alternate with dandelion tea and for the first time ever, yesterday i made Purple Dead Nettle tea. The amount of fresh leaves used for 2 liters is 2 full cups. Is there, anywhere a table or guide about the right quantity and the best way to prepare specific medical plants? Any comments will be much appreciated. Thanks. My age is 47, i wanna do this for general wellness.

Can a dog have Linden infusion to drink? Every time I drink my Linden infusion I Great Dane Bronson pushes me and paws barks at me until I give him a cup of his own. So far I haven't seen any harmful side effects 😅
