From my research, I came to the revelation that the Lozi were a Sotho-Tswana group that was pushed Northwards by the Mfecane. They settled around Zambia, Namibia and Zimbabwe and conquered the local tribes there. Hence the stark similarities. We are only about 300 years apart so the languages are still very interchangeable. I am a Tswana-Pedi person. It's nice to know our history and that we are one. Our ancestors would be ashamed of the current animosity South African people have to their blood brothers because of arbitrary fences. We can do better SA

This is Sesotho. Basotho invaded Lozi and forced them to their culture and traditions. Wich led to Selozi wich is why it is familiar to Sotho. There is very rich history betweeen the two. Thats the only way we have Silozi being familiar to Sesotho.
