Papads are special snacks usually prepared from lentils. But papads can also be prepared by using some vegetables or tubers. I prepare tasty papads by using sweet potatoes, which can be enjoyed as evening snacks, instead of combining with meal. Some papads are best for having with meal. But these papads can be eaten as it is. We need to add tapioca starch inorder to prevent papads break while drying. And also it gives good structure to the papads. Jeera can be added as a preventive of gas problem. It requires minimum 3 days of sun-drying. So we can store it for about an year. Sweet potato papads naturally give a light sweet( as sweet potatoes are naturally sweet) taste which is liked by many.
