Submission Requirements:
-Video must be 1080p 30 or 60fps
-Video needs to be in 16:9 format (hold your phone horizontal)
-Tripod or some form of stabilizing. (shaky video wont work)
-10 clips of 20 - 30 seconds (please do not edit, just raw footage)
-Video clips must contain, Corals, Fish, and Set up equipment. (filters, sumps, pumps, lighting etc.)
-Video must be smooth and steady, not shaky ( different angles of your tank are welcome)

This is super helpful. I have a huge rock of it I bought from a lfs that didn't keep it pruned at all and it was covered in hair algea. Fortunately my cleanup crew did a great job cleaning it up nicely. So this will help me control it. Thank you.

I just got into reefing and am actually starting with a couple frags of GSP to go along with a blasto. Just to get my feet wet in caring for corals. It’s in a small 13 gallon tank. I keep hearing that gsp is a pest and invasive but I really hope mine grows like crazy since I’m not planning on putting much else in that tank

Hey Less than Bread! 😊GSP can keep you busy and can get in the way of other corals, however if you’re doing what you say then that will work. A green star polyp garden would look really cool! 😊👍🏻

Great video, I always see people have GSP on the back glass and then regret it. I also see you have mentioned taking care of SPS. In any future videos can you make a video on caring for SPS like (Acros/Stylo/Birdnest). Then also so maybe explaining what is stability because I am confused on whether should I keep my Alk at a certain number always or is stability keeping it between the ranges of a number 8.5-8.0? Thanks again!

miguelreef I agree, most of the time green star polyp can get out of control, but if you stay up on it like I showed in this video you can use it to your advantage. It just takes a little effort and work. My plan is to do some detailed care on SPS corals in the very near future. Thanks! for asking, and watching. 😃

Miguelreef, I forgot to add, that your Alk range of 8.0-8.5 is considered stable enough. You don’t want it to swing more then 1.0. Also, If you dose C Balance, or do weekly water change, it will stabilizing even more. 👍🏻

Great video! I saw where you can put your green star on the back of your tank and scrape it off with a credit card to control it since they like lots of flow and lots of light. Quick question, do clown host in GSP?

Mine started to die, its the branching form, its opening fine but a part of it just died, not sure the reason the living part looks the same on its base and at a shaded part

Awesome video. I got my gsp coral yesterday and was wondering how long does it take to fully open? I only see some green dots on it right now, I also have flow going straight to it.

Hi Th3, you want flow, but don’t blast it. Make sure you have a little distance from the flow pump. It may take a few day to a few weeks to fully open. Don’t move it once you find a spot for it 👍🏻😊

What's your alkalinity also maybe they aren't getting enough light

@@fishfan2 hi my all is 8.7dkh and the light I have is a viparspectra 165w. I must admit I dont know the par of it but it has grown montipora digitata very well until I bottomed out phosphates, also hammers grew well under it.

@bearded-flipflop7122 here's what you do..place a piece at the lower part of your tank then tear off a piece from that coral and place it at the top of your tank somewhere your gonna monitor just in case it does try to spread.. By doing this you'll know if it's a light issue by compare bottom frag and top frag...Just make sure you do not place the top frag on your rock if you don't want it to spread on it.
