Nanofil on a bait-caster? Bass fishing the Snake River

Can you use Nanofil line on a Baitcaster? Today that's exactly what i set out to find out! Nanofil fishing line is made specifically to work on Spinning reels, no where mentioning use with a bait caster.
Update: The line stayed on my reel for about a year with no problems besides some fade in the color. The did not stretch of fray and to the best of my knowledge showed no signs of degrading from the sun.

thanks for the video. was trying to find out the same thing. just bought 17lb Nano to try on my bait-casters as I cannot find another line that I am satisfied with. Was going to do the same experiment. Thanks for the insight. just spooled my Texas rig rod up.

@@elijaha6343 i do like it for sensitivity. Takes some getting used to casting. Turned the magnetics up on my Revo and did fine with it.

I just started watching your videos last night and I love them. The videos are well done and full of insight. I love seeing someone local out on the river. It seems that most bass videos are on lakes with totally clear water. And we have just the opposite of that LOL. Would you be willing to guide me through the Yakima River sometime out by Benton City? I've always wanted to go out there but I'm too scared of how shallow it gets. Oh and by the way I love your truck. I see you driving around all the time

Great video! How do you like it now? I'm thinking of getting some for my baitcaster. And if you don't like it that much now, what do you prefer over the nanofil?

The nanofil is actually still on that rod since this video. Holds up great. I do still prefer braid only because i can buy it in 3k yard spools.

@@LeatherHeadGarage Thank you! what is the best braid that you would compare to nanofil for distance casting? I do a lot of bank fishing.
