Nanowar of Steel is a comedy metal band from Italy. They are excellent musicians and a lot of their songs are fun. This is a great Christmas song. The guy who was Odin is Angus McFife of Gloryhammer. You need to check out their songs Angus McFife, Rise of the Chaos Wizards, Gloryhammer and Hootsforce. I suggested this band a couple of days ago but a different song. I'm glad you did them. Now you have to do Norwegian Raggaeton, one of their best songs. Other songs include Then I Noticed That She Was a Gargoyle, Barbie, MILF Princess of the Universe, and Uranus which features Michael Starr of Steel Panther.

i'm jewish and the hebrew "shema yggdrasil" joke might be the best punchline in the entire song. "shema israel" is the call to prayer and is probably the oldest prayer in our religion, we're talking BC. its also the holiest prayer. yggdrasil is the viking tree of life. no pun was ever so blasphemous or as funny.

Nanowar of Steel had a release party for an album at an IKEA store. They told the fans "Come to this or that store for our release party", and the fans did! The band had set up a treasure hunt in the store too, with merch hidden in the furniture at various places, CD's, posters, t-shirts and what have you, and they sent out the fans on that hunt. It stirred up quite a commotion, so after a while Security showed up and asked what was going on. The band explained and the Security said "Ok, do you have a permit for this?". - No, of course they hadn't asked for a permit for the event. Cheers / B.

Yes, they did pray by reading the Ikea catalogue, and yes, the lyrics are completely hilarious - but I love it. When I want to cheer up, this is a song I go to. Rocking and laughing - what do I need more?

They did a song recently "La Polenta Taragnarock" featuring Giorgio Mastroto, King of Shopping TV, about whom they had previously written a song, the eponymous "Giorgio Mastroto" - he loved it. You will be humming it for days.
