Josephine's hair is short in the film because that was the new style at the end of the 18th Century. A few years beforehand, she had come so close to the guillotine that her hair was cropped in preparation for the chop-chop. This was done with men and women alike, both of whom had long hair or wigs previously. Amusingly, after the Terror ended, close-cropped hair caught on as a _hairstyle_ all over Europe (!) and wigs were dispensed with, which is why in Jane Austen's novels, which are set only about a decade after the Revolution, everyone has short hair. The Revolution is also why the aristocracy started dressing more plainly. They didn't want to draw attention to themselves.

@@rg2613 don't speak nonsense like ignorant Scott))) There are tons of evidence, memoires of people very close to Napoleon. Of course historians know well enough what Napoleon's personality was like. Some people can't read that's why they produce such disasters

Exodus based on Bible stories is very unrealistic. I doubt napoleon has any similarities to Exodus

Plenty of errors. Napoleón leading a cavalry charge at Borodino with the uniform of a general of 1796! He did not lead any cavalry charge. And at Borodino he was Emperor not General. And that is only one of multiple mistakes. Wellington meeting Napoleón before the last exile. They never met. What did you want to creat Scott? "Your Napoleon" is not Napoleon. Learn a bit of History before trying to do something related to History. No visual effects replace the ignorance. A disgrace.
