Flea was a pretty cool customer considering Nardwuar starts the conversation by immediately asking multiple questions about his ex-wife. Normally Nardwuar is so well researched!

Nardwuar was a very awkward interview back then. Especially when he asked Flea if drugs are bad, despite the R.H.C.P losing their guitar player from a heroin overdose (I can't think of his name right now).

@gasmaskboi193719459 жыл бұрын
Madam Vonkook No, it wasn't purposeful "Ironic" awkwardness. He was just an awkward guy at this point - he was new and he was learning the ropes.

Nardwuar usually disarms his subjects by doing amazingly detailed research on them. When he hasn't, he's just got the annoying thing and it doesn't go off as well.

Please tell me that people know the band The Replacements that Flea was talking about bcs If anyone doesn't know the Replacements then you def need to listen to the Replacements albums, Sorry Ma, Stink, Hootenanny, Let it Be, Tim, and Pleased to Meet Me. All of those albums are some of the best and most influential records of all time. I was surprised to see Josh cover Answering Machine with the Chili Pep's in MN (which is where the Replacements are from). It's always great to see one of your favorite bands who likes/was/is influenced by the same bands you were/are influenced by still

D Rago I saw the r.h.c.p. in Edmonton, Alberta ,Canada, I think 2006? They busted out a bit of "London Calling" ( the clash) ,as well as a bit of "Oldsmobile'98" (Public enemy)/in the old hockey arena, a terrible building for live music quality.
