Narrow stance squats are a great way to target and isolate your lower body including the glutes, hamstrings, lower body and quads. It is great for enhancing your leg muscle definition as well as strengthening muscles.
The narrow stance squats is any foot placement narrower than a regular squat stance. Hip- width apart is a great place to start and some will even go as far as having their feet completely touch.
Narrow stance squats allow.....
- deeper squats
- more dorsiflexion of the ankle
- less stress on the lower back
- correct muscle imbalance
- less stress in the hips
This squat variation is not for everyone and the outcome will be subject to individuality, like everything in fitness.
