The Kevin Lepage crash at Talladega still makes me so mad. And the idiot blamed everyone else for not seeing him!!!!! Completely unprofessional move, if I was NASCAR I would have suspended him or at least fined the crap out of him for reckless driving. Sheesh!
@alexbourgeois78634 жыл бұрын
KMHrock89 almost every (oval) track has a rule of you rejoin the track on the back stretch. and his spotter should have been screaming at him lol

The general public drives like Nascar then....racing is another situation.... But there are unwritten rules of the road that entitled idiots wouldn't follow if they knew of them... And most don't... Especially when Driver Ed is where they learned how to or was taught second hand by graduate of driver dumb schools Car on the on ramp.... I have right of way... I don't have to allow them on... I have the right of way.... Let them slow down.... But better not speed up causing me to take my foot off the gas... Then they are cutting me off.....

Actually, the weirdest to me (besides Juan Pablo's jet dryer crash I mentioned in a response) is Mark Harmon slicing his car in half, THEN he gets hit at high speed by Johnny Sauter and he's like "eh, I'm cool guys" while hanging out of his car and he just gets up OFF THE TRACK (as in, he was sitting on the pavement). His crash came about 10 years after Michael Waltrip did the same thing (minus getting hit by another car after). Sauter missed hitting his actual body, no cage/metal around him by about 6 inches.
@DDS0295 жыл бұрын
Don McTavish wasn't so fortunate around '67 or '68. His first hit at Daytona knocked everything off from the firewall forward. Including the firewall. Then got hit square in the "front" again. An ARCA car I worked on hit in the same place at Daytona. Thankfully it was qualifying. Kept the front firewall on, but it wouldn't have done any good if he got hit again.

I love this racing series. The only reason this is difficult and exciting is because they have some of the worst cars and set ups in racing. Especially for this type of racing which is why it's always on edge. Maybe if they stopped racing with sedans they wouldn't crash every 10 laps, oh wait they know that's the only reason why people watch lol

Where the car hit the end of the wall, that is where the oil tank is. Right behind the driver. Fortunately it was an oil fire. It isn't as volatile as gasoline. And what would hitting on the other side, makes you think it would be worse?

@Icarusabove4 жыл бұрын
Look up Derrike Cope's tire explosion. Something caused his tire to overheat way beyond tolerance. Normally when a tire explodes they are travelling at high speed so it looks a lot different. The black smoke is brake dust being blown around by the high pressure air from the tire.
