The thing I like about all these old nascar games is that they actually feel like a nascar game the damage model how you can adjust the car the tracks drive and feel like how they are in real life the AI actually races well you can damage the suspension and overheat the engine this is what a nascar game should drive and feel like not what heat is

There was a DLC for inside line but for someone reason the removed it even if you brought the 2013 gen 6 cars. Also for the challenges they use telemetry data. The cars will drive the exact lines that the drives ran in real life you can't get in their way or move them they are like bricks.

I remember there being two glitches on this game. One was at Atlanta where you could ride the apron full throttle and not go up in the corners. Another one was that you could reduce your pit time by one second by going to tape, bringing it down a notch, and then putting it back. This was on the Wii so idk if it will work on other consoles. Either way this game is hands down one of my favorite games

Radman, for the schemes for career mode on Inside Line, its done automatically. There is no knowing how long a sponsor is going to sponsor you, and along with that theres no alternate schemes with those sponsors. (Main ones). As in lets say Mobil 1 has sponsored you, they could be on your car for either a whole season or 3 seasons.

Does anyone know in this game why every time I create and save a custom paint scheme and go race with it none of the sponsors or designs show up when you get to the tracks

Funny thing AJ Allmendinger Originally drove the 22 in Cup in 2012 and was supposed to be in the game as was Hornish in the Part-Time number 12 SKF Dodge and Austin Dillon wasn't even supposed to be in the game, but around the Coke Zero 400 That year Allmendinger was suspended for failing a drug test which unlike Jeremy Mayfield he took the road to recovery and has since bounced back. Hornish was then placed in 22 and Austin Dillon was then swapped in to make it a full 43 car field.

It’s so good because of how great the customization is in career mode and also how in depth the career mode goes as well. I’ll never understand why game companies wreck what they’ve built with decent career modes in the past.

Played this a lot growing up. Pretty sure in career mode, you don't use a custom paint scheme but rather each primary sponsor has their own scheme that you use (but someone correct me if I'm wrong). A career series for this would be fun to see.

I don’t know if you know this but if you do a career mode on this game sponsors will chose and make your paint schemes but if you do a season thing you can pick your driver and can use your custom paint schemes

All this game needed was a solid online that wasn't lag filled and a bit more in depth career mode. Driving wise, NTG series has been the best for consoles.

I used to play Nascar inside line with my brother at Bristol with no cautions. The Ai at Bristol just have no clue how to avoid wrecks and me and brother would play split screen and wreck one on purpose and try to finish the race with Ai just dying left and right.

Last NASCAR game I ever bought... it had mad potential but two things killed it, you couldn't customize you're career mode paint scheme & the pit sequence glitch where they all wrecked entering pit road was still a thing.

For the actual "Career Mode" you don't make your own car, each primary sponsor has it's own scheme and you're not able to change it.

Yea, I just got Heat 5 and I can promise everybody. I considered myself a professional when it came to the NASCAR 15 Victory Lane Edition! The way that the cars drove actually seemed real! So at first NASCAR heat five didn't seem like it was going to be good whatsoever until I got used to the steering and how the car felt. I will say however if they can incorporate the bump and run type stuff off of NASCAR Victory Lane 15 and the way the way I reacted to bumping then it was so much more realistic than what they have done on heat 5 and what they've done on heat 5 is kind of cool to but it doesn't work every time and if you hit a guy doing 5 more miles per hour at Bristol he's going to go up the damn track so hopefully they can make this next NASCAR game the one and final best and baddest and just keep updating it that would be the best thing they could do and bring as much from Nascar 15 Victory Lane Edition as they can and match it with heat 5

Oh yeah still play this game today and is a 8/10 for me even with all the glitches and whatnot. Wish they added trucks and xfinity cause then it wouldve been a 10/10. Love this game. And yes please do a career! 15% races, ×3 wear and default setups (in race you can adjust the setup)
