As an artist who hasn't "Made it," there's always the temptation to water down creatively and make things shorter/more "Mainstream." I decided not to give that that temptation any power on this one. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a more underrated artist. Show me another artist that sings with the amount of emotion from the heartbreak of millions of people. Writes the way he does. The unique quality of his voice. There’s no one in this industry that sounds like him. He deserves so much more recognition. He deserves it.

This song is literally about my brother dying but because he is going to Heaven, everything will be alright. (More than alright) He wrote a song almost a decade ago now from the perspective of our father just giving us his last pieces of wisdom, which were to love Jesus and one day we would join him in Our Permanent Home. I get chills thinking about the context of each. We’re listening to the premiere of Nevaeh right now and it’s having me reflect on how far Nathan’s come. I’m mind blown. I’m speechless in the room right now but have had chills throughout the entire song. I pray we sing this song in Heaven. I had chills as I wrote that

I like to think that 'Don't forget me' is about someone who is dying in a hospital with their partner by their side which in the end he dies hence the heartbeat fading away. Ascension is when he makes his way to Heaven and arrives there And Joy is when he is waiting for his partner and reunite with them, so he thanks God for bringing them together once more, this time, inseparable I really loved this masterpiece. Really well done Nathan :]

Who dare hurt this man like this! The raw emotion in his voice! Takes me to the moments I've lost somone so close to me. I suffer from renal failure and I'm always thinking about the possibilities of me passing and who it would affect.

I only listen to this song every few months because it's my absolute favorite, it always makes me cry hard, and I never want it to lose its effect. I randomly out of nowhere decided to listen to it tonight and after a few seconds of listening, I felt like I should stop and check my phone. I had a text from a new friend that I do not know too too much about just yet. They said something was on their mind and they wanted to talk. I asked what was up and they shied away not wanting to bother me. I persisted and eventually gave up because it was clear they didn't want to talk. I said "Alrighttt. I'm gonna go listen to my favorite song that I only listen to every few months because it always makes me cry." She texts back, "What song?" I say, "Not trying to self promo but it's a song called Nevaeh by my brother." She started to listen to it and after a few minutes she told me that it was the four year anniversary of her suicide attempt. She said it brought her along an insanely beautiful journey, it made her cry and feel so many emotions that she had been feeling. I really don't believe in coincidences. This timing was too perfect. Jesus is Lord.

You know. I have a certain story in mind, with my own characters. (I'd love to create a comic with them, but I'm bad at art, but I really think it rather fits a comic than a story to read) I'm still creating the story, the characters etc. and there's a thing I love: Making them relate to a song. Making me think "Hey, maybe this could fit Character x!" and that's kinda how I build my story. So..why am I saying this? "You're the worlds most extravagant girl. I just can't understand. I'm a time bomb that's ticking away, still you're holding my hand." That line..it made me wanna fit my characters backstory to this. Him being sick, having not long to live. You're really such an inspiration and I wish you would get more and more people that could listen to you, because that's what you deserve. Your music tells a story, it conveys your emotions/emotions in general just so perfect. You're a musician but also a storyteller, aren't you? Thank you for inspiring me with your music. Seriously. I always find little lines that I wanna create a story too - that I think characters would fit. I think it's amazing that you can unite people that feel the same way, you know? Your music really is a blessing.

I don't know why I've never commented on this series of music. I've listened to Joy and Don't Forget me separately for years, but never all three together. I just spent the last...hour crying. Just, hysterical. I don't entirely know what was intended here, but I genuinely could feel the loss of life, the ascension into Heaven, and the gratefulness for the life lived, and hopefully, the idea of reincarnation into a new one. I have never had faith. I thought it was so much easier to believe we are simply energy, and one day that energy will be forced to disperse.
