I am praying for you to be saved ❤ as it feels, you really experienced all the horror and fear behind your words and I am truly sorry for all that happened to you ❤ When I experience something like this, I just try to calm myself down telling me that it's a roller coaster day and the ride will go upwards as well. I always refer to these states, like a roller coaster that will have its ups and downs. And there are days when it's a cheap ride with many downs and not so much upwards. I hope that you won't have roller coaster days and God will heal your heart day by day as he does it to all of us who let Him close ❤

I'm an abuse survivor with PTSD, and one of the worst parts about it is the hypervigilance all the time. It feels like even the slightest shift in the room I'm in is going to reveal something that'll jump out and kill me. My heart is constantly pounding, my hands shake, my head gets loud and feels like it's going to explode, and it's all I can do to keep composed and slowly remind myself that the demons aren't real and never have been. I've always struggled to put what that feels like into words, and music has always helped. This song in particular hit right home. It felt like he was saying the things I never could explain, like I wasn't alone in this, and that's made so much of a difference. Thanks, Nathan, for being such a key player in my healing from the past and finally starting to experience a little peace of mind.

I can't really thank you enough... during the lockdown in Italy, I was in quarantine with my grandma because she could have been positive to Covid-19. I spend a lot of nights up at her bedside, hoping it was just a nightmare.... Then one of those nights you did a live on your channel... Even if it kept lagging, I sang with you all the songs crying my heart out. I can't describe how grateful I am.... You are the best! Please, keep following your dreams because you aren't only making good songs.... That night you gave me hope

As one of the people who grew up with a mental health disorder that causes severe paranoia, I gotta say that this song hits the mark quite well. Paranoia is one of the worst feelings to have. It’s like a persistent feeling of incoming threat. Nathan, your songs stir up deeply buried emotions every time. This is yet another masterpiece that deserves all the love and recognition this world has. Please don’t ever stop making these beautiful works of art!

As someone with a lot of social anxiety, i can relate to this song quite a bit. Musically its also great. Thank you for doing the work you do and sharing it online, and an early congratulations for almost reaching 100k, which is a huge achievement for an individual independent musician.

I had a very almost identical thing happened to me too honestly I kind of feel like I got a job that I didn't feel like I deserve and everybody's super nice to me but I end up over exciting myself to the point of anxiety

Pandemy made me know one person that was the one Who breaks what's left. I've started to hide myself away. I learned to keep things for myself. I opened my eyes that I've really been fighting everything on my own, lieing myself I was having someone holding my back. Atleast in this two Years I've learnt what love someone is. And yeah we didnt really last long. Welp. Not really want to get into details. But this two Years has been filled with surprises, mosts were hard hits, and not even coming from the pandemy. The pandemy is the less if my problems.

Nights are pretty bad for me. I hear the words breathe in, breath out. I use the words, "you're not real, so get out of my head". Thanks for being a voice there helping me calm down when I feel trapped in my own head. I hate that anyone else might be feeling the same pain I do, but it's less lonely now knowing that there are others. His joy comes in the morning. God bless.

can I just state the last minute and 30 seconds of this song sold it hard to me. Him saying get out of my mind with all of those other voices playing along side it reminds me exactly what it's like for me when under stress or doubt. ❤!!!!! This so encapsulates the inner turmoil and raging fears with paranoia. Seeing someone so close struggle for the past 10 years and feeling helpless to deal with it from the outside. Self medication has lessened but the mistrust continues. Nothing is more than what they see. Their ability to evaluate has sadly diminished to only their perceived truth. Sleep only comes just before the day breaks. From a loving warm personality to a tortured erratic distrustful angry soul. Hope still lives.

It’s not paranoia if they’re really out to get you, but you never know if they are. This song rings so true as someone who lives with hyper vigilance stemming from anxiety, I always feel like there’s someone or something watching me, even more so when I’m alone and it’s seldom a friendly or neutral presence. In the quiet of the early morning, I almost always feel my skin crawl as the familiar feeling of being watched from some unknown angle by an unseen soul and the only way to escape it is to somehow break the cycle my brain gets stuck in, dissociation or friends temporarily pulling me out of my head, giving me a brief reprieve from the constant tiring guardedness I carry as a result of my hyper vigilance.

This song and your "Light" song ended up inspiring a story I'm currently writing. Been working on that book for a little over a year now. The "Light" song inspired what the final scene in my book will be while this song inspires the struggles and problems one of the main characters goes through in the first half of the book.

I've listened to this in my mix every day for weeks, and every time it's still so incredibly powerful. Not only is the message relevant and timely, it's a perspective necessary to hear in order to understand those with mental health issues. The vocals are mighty, man. MIGHTY.

Honestly, the way your songs portray mental health and the associated side effects I am dumb founded. As someone who has suffered heavily from mental health your songs as hauntingly hard hitting. Thank you they have helped me to heal and grow.

You described that feeling so well, it's amazing, and it's longer than most of the songs today. I write songs sometimes for fun and I can see all the work needed for 2 minutes, I can't imagine what it takes to make a complete, deep and powerful song of 7 minutes. You're incredible...

Anyone else cry when they hear this? As someone who has suffered physical and mental abuse for fucking decades, and the anxiety, depression and mental anguish it all comes with, this huts so close to home. To hear it all put into words the way you do, is astounding and beautiful and sad all what the same time. Trying to get myself to believe that I can get through it is so hard, and this song is my anthem.

I hear ya. Been there. I have BPD and was diagnosed with CPTSD. Abused in childhood, sexually abused at 16, jumped from abusive relationship to abusive relationship. Fell into drug and alcohol abuse. One day, I just got tired of destroying myself. It has taken years and a ton of work but I am seeing a glimmer of a light in the distance. It takes a commitment and uncomfortable work….”whatever it takes” is what I tell myself. However, even as a man, I still cry sometimes. Remember, you matter. You gotta believe that you matter. Stay in the light. I truly hope serenity finds you. We do recover.
