Yurok medicine woman, Tela Lake interviewed in Northern California in 1989, discusses the importance of teaching the children about the ancient ceremonial ways and traditional regalia of the Yurok people.
This interview is part of a series of videos that feature Káruk and other Northern California Klamath River Native culture bearers and cultural representatives.

I miss her too. I was up in Shasta and got moon teachings from her and I remember the grandmother moon song she taught me long time ago. Id love to talk to her.
