Had Kontakt for years and just kinda slept on it but got more into it in recent years. Was super excited when I realized I could make my own kontakt instruments, then I tried to learn how and realized Im better off focusing on other studio tasks. Play series is pretty dope tho

I love my NI stuff na, but NI has a serious issue when it comes to consumer requests. They just don’t listen so it is what it is, I’m learning FL Studio now for sequencing freedom. FL is a beast because consumer requests drives their advancement. It’s not rocket science. Give the consumer what they’re asking for! NI would be back in the game for NI if they listen to consumers requests.

I bought Kontakt 6 full version end of summer 2020 and I'm sticking with Kontakt 6 ( no plans to upgrade to Kontakt 7 anytime soon! ). But out of the mixed bag of sounds in the Band library the Jazz guitar is still a top quality, well sampled sound ( I love the fret noises which still ads an element of realism to your guitar tracks ), another good reason to have the full version of Kontaklt is having access to literally hundreds of free Kontakt libraries as most of those require the full version of Kontakt. However there is still some magic in using your DAW to do midi sequencing with external sound modules. As of typing this comment the only other Nativie Instruments library I currently have is Abbey Road Drummer Collection which is still one of the best drum libraries with samples of vintage drum kits. Maybe upgrading to Kontakt 7 might be worth it by purchasing a Komplete bundle even Komplete Standard.

I use all of NI Products including Hardware S88, Maschine and Komplete Audio 6. In contact i come with that company with Kontakt (the german word for contact, because the company comes from germany in the crazy city of Berlin) In my opinion old hardware is obsolete and a waste of time, money and space. When you have NI you will never live without with it..... butt: that is only my modest opinion.... ;) And : i am not a fanboy.... i am a fangirl ;) :D

Damn I forgot Kontact use to look like that… I have bought Komplete since version 3 . Own Maschine mk3, Komplete kontrol, all that… But over recent years, I’ve felt myself using other products more like Serum , Korg or Logics own instruments these days . NI needs to update and streamline their software to be more modern and unified with each other, and with other DAWs. 🤔

had Kontak 1 with Cubase 32 vst on a windows 98 custom built pc was before its time.

I was using Dance Ejay in 2001 and didn't Crack Reason 2.0 until 2006.

I wonder when Akai will allow Vst3 Plugins for their DAW Akai Software. It only allows Vst2 so far and its quite complicated to make it work - only possible through a next Vst (Kushview Element for example). I bought Komplete 14 some weeks ago and really like the sounds and everything that comes with it (for example software like Ozone 10 is really great to have). As I mainly work with the Akai Software together with X I really would love to see Akai getring this problem solved. Most DAWs are able to recognize Vst3 nowadays I think ...

KONTAKT is one of the worst piece of software in the entire music industry. It was good 30 years ago, but these days it is absolute piece of trash. PERIOD !
