Hello Mr.Batchvarov, thank you again for another interesting video. I can give a little additional information, that the German Maritime Museum (Deutsches Schifffahrtsmuseum) is located in a town, called "Bremerhaven", about 53km north from "Bremen" at the coast of the North Sea, where the Cog is on exhibition. For me, standing in front of this ship, the Viking-Ships in Oslo and on the very top, the Vasa, is allways impressive, because of the craftmanship and this "time travel""! Greetings from Germany!

It actually was a lapsus lingue on my part- Thank you for pointing out my error. You are absolutely right. I am perfectly aware where Bremerhaven is and have no excuse or explanation why I said Bremen in the video... Shame on me! Especially since I finished a German Language high school where all was taught in German and German geography was part of the curriculum. Shame on me - such an embarassing mistake to make!

Dear Doctor. Thank you again. I learn something every week. Can I ask, that you tackle one Sunday, what might be the 'elephant hiding in the room', The Mary Rose? I realise this may be contentious, but I personally am drawn to her, and what she must have looked like. There's a three line little scene in one of the Shardlake novels by C.J. Sansome, where the two main characters are being rowed down river past Deptford, and they see the ship in for repairs, and look on it with a sense of wonder. Fiction, I know, but the description is vivid enough for me to see it too. The more I read about it, the less we seem to know. Although as I get older, much of life seems like that to me. Thank you.

Now you are inspiring me to read the said novels! Why, yes, of course! I shall be happy to talk about her. The publications, as you probably are aware, were not well-received in the professional community. But she is incredibly interesting ship and there is much more work that needs to be done on her.

The Bremer Kogge is displayed in the Deutsches Schffahrtsmuseum in Bremerhaven, not in Bremen.

You are, of course, absolutely right! It was a lapsus lingue. Though I have yet to visit it.

Also Dear Doctor. Last week you recommended to me Alex Hildred's volume on the weapons contained within Mary Rose. Thank you for that, but would you have any idea where I might find said volume? I have searched the internet and even messaged the Mary Rose museum. Perhaps I will need to write to them more formally. Do you think it could be ordered from a proper quality bookshop?

I would have imagined the Museum to have a copy. Thought it was published sometime ago now. I suppose any of the used book search machines would do. Personally I use bookfinder.com most often. It is not going to come cheap, though. Probably in the 80 quid range.
