Greetings Victoria and Rico Are you kidding: that engine room area is insanely incredible. What is not to love? The fit and finish is absolutely beautiful and thats just the engine room. There is so much to comment about that this post would be way too long. Suffice to say that the innovative features and the awesome joinery of this boat is definitely stunning. The storage space on this yacht is incredible. My only real "criticism", if you want to call it that - seems like you used teak in a few places that didnt real need it. The systems lazarette was genius, great place to store extra provisions, I would definitely have an additional freezer in there

This is an incredible execution by GB and is certainly a game changer in terms of efficiency. Given the restrictions we are beginning to see for emission free requirements to access some marine areas, and the drive for hydrocarbon reduction, would electric-diesel hybrids options be available in the near future? GB has already set the tone for this by producing such a light yacht in this footprint, electric hybrid, if possible, would be another level of efficiency. I watched a review of this same yacht yesterday on another channel (please forgive me for cheating on you) and I thought "Eh, Nice boat, but eh". Well that reviewer seems to know nothing about boats or how to review them. Now after watching this review of the same boat I find myself lusting for one. Great job as always.

My Aunt and Uncle had a Grand Banks back in the day when it looked more like a tug boat. He was the head of the power squadron in the Detroit Yacht Club. They lived aboard all summer and cruised the Great Lakes. I say all this just so you share with me the wonder that he would experience seeing what is available today from Grand Banks. He would be overwhelmed, as am I.

You can say what you want, and it is quite very unique! Love the layout of the galley. Also we now know who does the cleaning in your couple 😜 The sunroof is a perfect second living / entertaining area. Rico, it's tablet not tabloid 😉 do you enjoy that reading those tabloids? 1000 nm at 20 knots!!! The speed is more impressive than the gas mileage because if you can put $9M in a boat and hire a crew, you can afford your fuel 🙂 In France it's a BBQ or a grill.

We all judge yachts by many criteria but one in particular for me is the crew quarters. These are exceptional, nicer than crew quarters on yachts twice that length. That says a lot about the owner and manufacturer. I suppose it matters to me because my income puts me closer to the crew than the owner on this pricey boat! :P

It’s so nice because it’s designed to be overflow for guests when operated by owner. Can’t be inviting guests aboard your $xx million dollar yacht and putting them in a 3rd World Country Out House, like some crew quarters I’ve seen.

To teak or not to teak... Hamlet. A beauty! Wheelhouse surprise... Grand Banks has always had (I think) grand wheelhouses and engine rooms. The owners knew what they wanted... more room for living... well done. This not my grandfathers Grand Banks... tho he loves loves his.

I know little about boats, I have no plans to buy a boat (which in Japan is a very costly venture--and full-time live-aboards are basically not allowed), but for some reason I can't seem to stop watching your videos. I'm not much interested in cruising the tropics (or "the islands", as you put it), so if anything, I find your videos on sturdy, all-seas trawler type boats the most intriguing. In any case, I look forward to your uploads each week--you do the best, most comprehensive, easiest-to-follow video tours of any yachting channel out there!

Although most of us could never afford this GB85, it’s fun to actually see the inside of such a beautiful vessel. Grand Banks is a well known ship builder, producing quality yacht for many years. It was an unfulfilled dream of mine to own one and cruise the waters of Western Washington, Canada and Alaska. That will have to wait for the next life. Thank you for sharing this fine yacht.

Another awesome Tour you guys did. I am pretty interessted on nordhavens over the last years, but the Videos they released over the last year are garbade. Some good Videos of owners are on. Even sicker ist the trying to find good walkthroughs of fleming yachts. The same i said about bering, until you did these awesome tours. Love your Videos so much. Happy easter from germany

This is my favorite yacht so far. Love the designs but I would change just a few things if it was my personal yacht. Hiya Vico, Okay, they could not have fitted more storage, and that for a yacht that can go 3knm before needing to re-fuel is great. There are too many wonderful features to list them all but thank you for doing so. That double engine room/toy store was a real surprise, and very much a winner. I do wonder if she would cross the Atlantic if you went at 7kn? So all in all a winner of a yacht, thank you for the fantastic tour. Stay safe, Steve...

Carbon fiber construction, the hull shape, the neat two tone paint, the efficiency and speed, the electronics package, the headroom, the finishes/wood, the attention to detail, man it just blows me away. Not completely sold on the power windows and sunroof, considering how once that stuff gets some age on it its gonna break. And you know they'll get stuck open when there is a fast moving pop up thunderstorm coming lol. Also I see this on A LOT of different boats(this one included), you can save a good bit of space by putting the stairs to the lower level directly under the stairs to the upper lounge/helm.

You can't go wrong with the grand Banks the old ones the Woodies are great too. They hold up forever as long as you take care of him. I'm glad to see their quality is improved over the years even I didn't think it was possible .... but I really love that boat!!!

The woodwork in the interior is beautiful! I love the "Galley Style" galley! I really like that the dishes and glassware are stored in the dining room.That gives the kitchen nice storage for food etc.. I think the sky lounge is the best I've seen.It's beautifully laid out and beautiful! Love the day head with shower! It is beautiful and looks roomy! I'm impressed that the crew quarters are as beautiful as the rest of yacht! Happy Easter from Vermont

Always loved Grand Banks. Beautiful lines……they are what a boat should look like on the water. Loved the older classic trawlers 👍

Great tour both of you. GB makes a very nice boat. They are very popular in the Puget Sound area. It is amazing to see what is available to customers now compared to 10 or 20 years ago. If only price for fiberglass boats were not astronomically high now.

Another that is WAY more than _I_ would choose (even if I had the $$$$$), but a beautiful yacht nonetheless. While I love the look of carbon fiber, I think that teak accents at the helm station would have looked better. A low profile cooktop could easily go into the crew galley between the sink and the outer end of the counter, or maybe (slightly raised) over the refrigerators. Of course then you lose the counter space. The engine room layout is INSANE! In a very good way of course, especially the hatches from the toy storage hallway.

This ticks every box! It is probably the most yacht I would ever want, money no object. Perfect layout and beautiful fit-out. The only surprise was the lack of windows in the VIP, but other than that, absolutely stunning vessel. Great tour as always, thanks guys, keep it up! Really appreciate what you do!

I have to say, I LOVE the galley being forward like with the beautiful view. I also love crew quarters being finished and like a small yacht itself.

Awesome tour of a very beautiful boat! You guys are definitely the best in the business! I'm curious about your future "NBB". For sometime now, you guys have been taking about it, taking notes and design inspiration from these tours to how you're going to outfit your future NBB. Is this still a dream yacht or do you plan on building it in the near future? I'm excited to see what you all come up with and when we will be able to see the finished product!
