D-League Does not mean the bad players. It's the NBA Development League. It helps players that didnt have the oppurtunity to play in college or didnt get drafted develop their skills to get noticed by NBA teams.

There has never been a bad NBA player. Bad by NBA standards, but even the worst player to ever play in the NBA is still better than 99.9% of people in the entire world at basketball.

The D league is a funny system. It was made mainly as a way to demote players as opposed to looking for players that are looking for a chance to join the league. You need a year of college now a days to be eligible etc so this might not be your best option... But tyeres like a .3 percent of making a team .

Too many comments where people are giving specifics about their age and player builds and all other unimportant nonsense. Not even picking on good tips from the footage such as properly defending someone or running a play correctly. Shooting and being “athletic” and able to dunk isn’t enough. Millions around the world can do that. Set yourself apart. If you think you good enough go try out and when you make a team we will know.

Basketball is one of those sports I don’t care for, but I find this pretty interesting because these are potentially walk-ons into professional sports. Something you don’t see in any of the other US Sports. In Baseball and Football you’re pretty much scouted from a young age and if you catch attention, you’re going to be watched throughout your years and then potentially get an offer to play at some amateur of professional level. Baseball has a complex farm system which is a whole different topic. Football you pretty much have to be a high caliber player at the college level. I think it’s because Basketball is really it’s own culture. It’s the game you play at school and at the park. Plus it doesn’t really require and equipment or formidable playing ground so access to its easy. Therefor, you have a lot of “regular joes” on the street who are actually really good and talented at the sport and nobody would ever really know unless you held open try-outs like this.

I don't even play highschool ball but I play in my local curch leagues and average about 15 and 12. Part of the reason I don't play highschool is because I'm only 135 lbs at 6'1" so I know I'd be last man off the bench so I gotta gain weight over the summer and tryout next year.

***** wish i did bro, i live in VA, all we ever see are an occasional wizards game. The Semi Pro down here is complete trash, i play competitive leagues, and we play in tourney's with the semi pro teams down here... literally, some of their players are worse than guys on my team and we just play a lot as a hobby. Been to the North Carolina tourney's too... you run into good athletes, but as a whole the leagues are a joke from what I've experienced. I did play small division 3 ball, bench warmer, but only because I like the sport. Never had aspiration to play semi professionally, but after seeing some of the guys that play in these leagues... i might have to rethink that strategy at 27 lol

After just two games in the tryouts you may get a text/call stating you will be in the draft for d league, and from there you can get better and maybe get drafted into the NBA. The thing you may not realize though, is that you can go as many times you want, but you'll need to pay $350 each time. Hopefully you can make it.

Quick question, do nba tryouts and dleague tryouts move to different locations each year or are they in the same location?
@joaquingrande371
@joaquingrande371 3 жыл бұрын
To be in an NBA trial you need to be invited I’m pretty sure (you have to be good af), and for the gleague tryouts you can pay or get invited, if you get invited however it’s a different trial and you’re like a step away from making the team, the tryouts take place in the teams hometown or in this case for the paid tryout it changes every year

Delavadova doesn’t seem “gifted” but that’s because he’s surrounded by super gifted players. He’s a very talented player and although not super gifted physically he has talent for the game, great vision, selfless and works his ass off. In conclusion, delavadova is nowhere near someone average, in fact an average person couldn’t make the nba no matter how hard they try
