Two things: 1. The odds of Cleveland getting the number one pick three times in four years - with one of those coming from deep in the lottery - is literally greater than getting struck by lightning, and 2. Dr. J laid the smack down on Miss Edens that night. Rumors swirled about Mallory wanting to get more ping pong balls or some such.

Lebron James did it. He single handedly saved the Cavaliers Franchise. Cleveland acquired three 1st overall picks in four years after Lebron brought his talent to the south coast. Then the king returned out of his love for his hometown. Pure genius!

I don't understand why people think this is rigged, yeah it's highly unlikely, but there's no reason for it to be rigged. The 1985 draft has a better argument for being rigged since the NBA had a reason to give the big market Knicks the 1st pick, but there's no reason for the NBA to want Cleveland to have the pick.

GenjiSleepsowo all teams are in the room when it happens anyone can win the lottery even if you have a 1 percent chance. Every team gets an amount of numbers depending on how high their in the lottery. For ex. let's say the bucks got 200 number combinations and the Cavs got 15 because their lower. When the ping balls are rolling they take four numbers and who ever has that combination wins. It's not that complicated and not impossible for any team to win it.
