Looney was a crazy scorer all the way until he started getting injured (hips mainly). Honestly think he’d still be putting up big points if not for the injuries. Interesting seeing Kuminga here because he could still easily be an all-star some day (he’s still only 21)

You're talking seriously rural areas. I grew up with two guys who made the NBA from my neighborhood and I'm from a medium sized CA city about an hour outside LA. I played with multiple NFL players as well. Good guys from an area playing D1, let alone going pro, is not some rare instance.
