Looney was a crazy scorer all the way until he started getting injured (hips mainly). Honestly think he’d still be putting up big points if not for the injuries. Interesting seeing Kuminga here because he could still easily be an all-star some day (he’s still only 21)

What's crazy is the best person you can remember from your high school's region probably wasn't good even to start D1 college, let alone make the league. Bench players on NBA rosters we're most likely elite college athletes.

You're talking seriously rural areas. I grew up with two guys who made the NBA from my neighborhood and I'm from a medium sized CA city about an hour outside LA. I played with multiple NFL players as well. Good guys from an area playing D1, let alone going pro, is not some rare instance.
