Nobody’s gonna point out how much we should be appreciating the guys diving into a little more into some X’s and O’s talk. NBA media desperately needs it the way that the gameday coverage for the NFL is always centered around the ins and outs of football itself as a game instead of narratives and hot takes & predictions.. the NBA needs to take more of an approach like that.

Basketball being pick and roll & dribble handoffs only is just like saying football is as simple as play action and shotgun formation. The game itself is much more intricate but the NBA’s consumers for the most part are dumbed down to it and don’t appreciate the ins and outs of basketball itself.. and basketball media does a great job of perpetuating that fact. Check out Hoops Tonight with Jason Timpf and or Thinking Basketball the KZfaq channel to see just how much different each team and its schemes are.

Kenny usually breaks down plays but the league today is a lot of pick and roll, drive and kick, handoffs so not much breakdown needed if you're watching. A lot of times in basketball they're not evening running a play. In football we have the broadcast angle so you really can't see how things are developing and a play has to be run so there is a lot more to breakdown and talk about.

But you gotta admit this years version of Embiid is a whole different animal. He’s been injured in a lot of those playoff bounces. Nurse is his first good/great coach who’s bringing out the best in his game and our offense. He’s already managing his minutes to save him for playoffs. Spoelstra is probably the only Coach better on all the East contenders. Celtics ascended after Brad Stevens and then Udoka. Even Steph and Warriors became a dynasty when Kerr got there. If 76ers are healthy I love our chances w Nurse.

Sixers fans know this, the front office knows , Morey knows this. Sellers this deadline will be licking their chops to escape 40m worth of contracts by July. Tobias is so expendable. He does the whole effort thing every January when window deadlines near and his name circulates in trade talks. This is common knowledge.

It's interesting that you feel this way because Kenny's the main person on this crew that makes an effort to go into the X's and O's of basketball At least he tries to teach you something about basketball, and you learn more from him than you do from Shaq and Chuck, who only give their subjective narrarive hot take opinions. everytime porzingis jumps up he needs to work on expanding his hips (like a jumping jack motion) to create space on the jump up, measure to make sure he doesn't jump too high, and then to snap his feet back to narrow his landing with either foot or to train himself to always land with both feet closer to each other. his injury issue is cos he so skinny he dont occupy enough parking space (kinda like shaq and chuck seem so nice but if you ever had to share economy seats with them you would realize you would prefer sitting with porzingis otherwise you don't have any elbow or leg space) so when he try to land or park his car he always bumping into the curb.

The reality is that Adrian Griffin has/had the correct scheme for Dame's defense liabilities. It goes back to what was said earlier, milwaukee is not athletic enough. Theyre too big & slow. Milwaukee has a personnel issue, not a scheme issue

There is no denying players like Tobias Harris and Khris Middleton are certified buckets. They can get hot. The problem with these players is the lack of defensive effort. They also do not do the little things that smart forwards/power-forwards do around the rim to get that extra offensive rebound, box out, and challenge shots.

Fam 15 yrs ago we had 2 Lakers-Celtics final's that rivalry is still at the top. If anything the biggest rivalry of the last 10 yrs was Warriors and Cavs. Heat-Celt a close 2nd though but besides the last few yrs, back when lebron was on the Heat it was the heat show and Celtics were unraveling.

Chuck listed all the right guys that should be moved and can help a contender ! And Milwaukee can't beat Boston with Dame, Beasley and the declining version of Middleton defending Holiday, Brown and White or Tatum...And White and Holiday can switch it up defending Dame, Beasley gets the other of the 2 while they "rest"...Brown can hold his own vs Middleton..Tatum can be the primary defender on Giannis because they'll end up double or triple team him anyway..And Porzingis vs Lopez cancel each other out..with the edge going to Porzingis...The worst part of this, this is all Giannis's fault for complaining to management that they needed to "do something"...Bucks would have been better with Holiday, a healthier Middleton and Allen..

76ers havent made an ECF, if they want to do get there, then they need to make a move for some wing D and shooting. MIL needs to find some D. Boston needs to find some interior D. Everyone needs to find something. I dont get how Philly can sit back and feel they got this

They don't make it to the ECF because they ALWAYS run into Boston. If they run into Miami or Milwaukee, they would probably make it, but they just can't seem to beat Boston even in their best year

Here’s a simple answer; Milwaukee = Glenn Rivers is a net negative and Boston = Marcus Smart is gone.

@@jdzspace33 they lost to the Hawks in the playoffs a couple years ago...and also lost to the Heat in 2022. It's not just the Celtics that beat them...they can't get past the 2nd round no matter who they play.

Don’t think scary terry is gonna fit with the heat. I just don’t see that move suddenly putting the heat above, Celtics, Bucks, 76ers, pacers, Knicks, cavs. At best they’re the 7th best team in the loaded East.

Imo, I think Celtics can still make some moves as well. Their bench is pretty weak, I don't think they have anyone to trade though, their best bet might be if any valuable players get bought out & they can sign them.

@@FutureDreamZz Having only 2 guys come off the bench, one being a big & the other being a small guy, that's putting a lot of pressure & minutes on their starting forwards, who are their best players, Tatum & Brown. Last year, they at least had a pretty balanced bench lineup, Brogdon, Grant Williams, & Robert Williams coming off the bench for them during the playoffs. You never know when injuries can hit you too, especially with KP being injury prone & Horford turning 38 soon, always good to have backup.

They also have Hauser who is a great shooter and solid defender. He gets more play than PP.
