Everybody that's complaining about this first game needs to calm down. With KP and Jrue on the team, it's going to take a while for these guys to gel. JB is not always going to have an 11-point night. Even JH was at least seven or eight points off his lowest average. At the end of the day, the fact that you had two of your Stars have an off night scoring, and the fact that they actually got sloppy a few times during the game, but STILL won by four on the road to a solid team says a lot. Just wait until this C's team is firing on all cylinders, they'll be beating teams by 25 plus points many nights.

Knicks had like 20 more shots.. knicks should have SMOKED them lol just look at the numbers… and the Celtics top guys played good and the knicks top guys played terrible and the knicks still almost won and should have won.. see how ur brain just tells u anything u wanna hear/see and make excuses but miss the real obvious stuff LOL.. and the Celtics have a super team pretty much and not everyone is going to be clicking every game.. most the Celtics guys were clicking tonight and they still should have lost

the concerning parts for me are: 1. JB handling the ball again. didnt we promote white and got Jrue to have them initiate the offense? 2. our rebounding. Mazzula needs to run box out drills for JB and Hauser. 3. our bench. Mazzula should be more willing to deeper into the bench in the 2nd half with hauser, pp and kornet not playing well. I would've liked to see Queta and Svi in the 2nd half.

Your right ab jb but it’s Tatum too they need to not be in the top 10 for turnovers this year. I think it mostly falls on the coach tho I never can tell what this dude is doing. Brown coulda guarded randle to let our best perimeter player stop those 3’s that were killing us and having brown and Tatum run point instead of those two is confusing. Jb is a great iso/defending guy when he gets pressed he’s awesome but if they fall off he’ll dribble right into them 30% of the time it’s weird. He can blow by almost anyone tho so I don’t get why he’s running point. It’s also an issue that there’s no plays being run out of timeouts. It’s very confusing. Timeouts were decent for this game but I just don’t rlly understand what we’re doing a lot of the time. Or what the play is suppose to be. It’s like they are free styling a ton out there. And this is with a year and an off-season. Guy worries me so much.
@TheRobversion1
@TheRobversion1 8 ай бұрын
@@jay-jay8191 agreed. asking JB to be the playmaker is a recipe for disaster. i actually feel more comfortable pp making decisions. JB should only be getting the ball in opportunities to score: cuts, isos, rolls, post-ups and catch and shoots. he should never be dribbling through crowds.
@TheRobversion1
@TheRobversion1 8 ай бұрын
@@jeremiahwallace4480 yup for all of mazzula's good stuff this offseason. this is still his weakness. hold the stars accountable. stop having JB play point forward. he's not good at that. stop having JT bring the ball up. it lulls our offense and makes JT tired. let the pgs bring the ball up and initiate the offense. i think JT can lower his turnovers but its on Mazz to stop putting the Js in positions where they fail. let the pgs handle the ball. D.white makes the right reads 95% of the time. let him playmake.

KP looked sooooooo good. Really need to cut back on his 38 minutes but damn it was fun tonight. I agree with the other comment about the second unit; Kornet is a joke and does not belong on this team. He’s just not a good basketball player and he is a MASSIVE hole in the lineup. I feel pretty similar about Houser. This team is stacked but they really aren’t deep enough… yet. If they can just improve by replacing Kornet with somebody with even a little talent it would really stabilize their second unit.

Porzingas is great if he can stay healthy. Tatum is great. Jrue, D White very solid dependable. JB will take over some quarters some games and bail us out here and there. Bench gave us nothing. I'm surprised they just don't have Porzingas at the foul line extended and playing thru that. Maybe he doesn't have those playmaking skills but it's worth looking into because it helps the spacing. And having Jrue, Derrick, and JB getting downhill looking for stuff inside more. Too much settling for 3s kept the Knicks in it. And when they get COLD from 3 teams climb back in it. Plus they need more bench balance, their top 6 average damn near 30+ mintues and that ain't going to sustain.

This is a big problem, and it's been there going back two seasons. You beat yourselves like no team I've ever seen. Not this good of a team.
