Cheli is a total Chicago Class Act! He was my hero on and off the ice growing up. Met him in person back in the day when they had Skate on State in Chicago. Congrats Cheli!!!

It was really funny when Chelios said to Patrick Kane about being a “Red Wing” but to remember that you’ll always be a “Blackhawk” & then proceeds to say to Kane this is my day & don’t steal my thunder this evening & then “Kane” goes out & scores the o.t. winning goal🥅 lol 😂

As a wings I kinda feel he deserved to be in the rafters in Detroit cause didn’t he win two cups in Detroit and learned a lot more from the red wing legends back then,he may have always loved Chicago I get that but something is telling me that’s not how it works in sports,I mean he won with Montreal in 86 I think and 2002 and 2008 with Detroit.so the team he had more success with was the redwings i mean what did he do in Chicago in his career,it doesn’t really matter anymore,what matters is I’m happy for him.REDWINGS LEGEND,LGRW

Two norris trophies in chicago, hawks went to the finals and lost to super mario. He spent as much time in chicago as he did in detroit. He came to chicago as a great defenseman with a cup win and a norris during his time with the canadians

They could've retired his number years ago but they waited til the team sunk to the bottom. That's how the Hawks owners operate . . just to fool their fanbase. The Bears do the same too. Cheli didn't deserve this treatment.
