I had lost my son in a car accident in 2001 and i was struggling to find my way through the pain and agony when i first heard this song.God used it to bring me and my family the peace that passes all understanding....Thank You!

+Stephanie Gardner ...Hi, The 14th of November is another year.I can say that i am able to breath and say his name with out falling to pieces.I have seen my other children each finding there own peace.And we can now get together and talk about Jeremy.We all still get lumps in our throat and we become silent then a memory come and we start to share them.We laugh,we cry,we sit quietly.

So much thanks to Need To Breathe and Rick Beato for this song. This song means so much to me because it was a dedication I did at my father's funeral in November 2011, when he went home to Jesus unexpectedly. I'm so comforted to think that this song is what he and Jesus are saying to all of us. My dad (Grant Hammond) was an incredible musician that I had to joy of playing guitar with for many years. Like Rick, my dad could just write music like most of us speak language. He was always tweaking and perfecting sounds and genuinely LOVED music. I will always feel grateful and connected to Need to Breathe and Rick Beato for this entire album, but especially to Lay 'em Down. You guys are incredible, and evoke the emotions and thoughts of a lifetime of love and forgiveness that my father showed me and many others through your music and words. Ask and ye shall receive! I asked Jesus to show me my pride and dishonesty, and He did. Then I asked Him to remove it. Then when I was able to be for real with myself and Him, I asked Him to show me my sin. Then I asked to wash my sin away with His blood. Then I asked Jesus to show me the fears, doubts and scars I had in my heart. Then I asked Jesus to take it away. I could not do any of this myself, I had to ASK HIM to do it. He did. And then HE ASKED ME to tell others what He did for me.

It all comes back to you and Jesus. He is the deliverer. He is the friend who sticks closer than a brother. He is there for you when everyone else walks away. This relationship is not created through what someone tells you, but is developed when you take that first step and call on Him. Jesus Christ is real and is eager to reveal Himself to us. The way it works is we take the first step, then He takes us the rest of the way. God bless.

This song just makes my heart so happy! When your lost and broken God is ready to pick you up because He just loves you that much, we just have to be willing to let Him. He LOVES us no matter how bent and broken we are. God is soo good! LOVE this song! LOVEEE this band!!

I listened to this song 5 years ago while in immigration holding. I love this song. It was such a blessing while there and still is. God is amazing and I held strong to his word. 5 years later, I'm still here glory to God. God bless you all 🙏.

My mother unexpectedly passed away a month ago. Shortly after she passed my dad found a post it note with the name of the band and the title of this song. I played this song at her memorial. I have never heard of them before but have been listening to it since she has passed. It gives me a lot of comfort. She passed away with a radio next to her playing Christian music. So I know she went in peace. I know she wanted to see this band before she died but they aren't playing in my area any time soon. I feel she lives through the music. May sound corny but it helps me cope.

The thing that is incredible is...that God is so awesome that talented people are blessed with the ability to sing about just how EXTRAORDINARILY AWESOME he is. Music, especially songs about God touch my heart more than anything here on this Earth. The even crazier thing is...WAIT FOR IT!!!!.... Even though this song is so incredible...it doesn't even scratch the surface of JUST HOW amazing God is. Truly amazing. :)

This song is exactly what those who protested and roited in charletville needed to hear and what I would say to them "those of you with and WITHOUT love come lay em' down" They are broken and think that violence will fill their bottomless pit but only our Lord and savior Jesus Christ can do that! Only though him can our nation be healed and prosper! Jesus is the way,truth and life!

First heard them singing Lay Em Down at 3:30am on the God Channel in New Zealand, almost to the day!, when life was really challenging and I didn’t know if I’d come through the storm. Loved their music and the band since then! Now back in the UK and got a ticket to go see them in September! 14 years waiting to see them in concert is totally worth it and a Godly desire answered!

There are no "worst sinners" in the eyes of Jesus. The bible says that "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of the Lord." That is precisely why God sent his only son to die on the cross for our sins! The blood that he shed on the cross washes away ALL our sin if we just say we are sorry, walk away from the sin and worship him. Just a prayer and promise to follow Jesus and our slate is washed clean!

The life you're living is a small fraction of the life you had and still can have. It is a remnant of the "zoe" life God gave you. It will not last. In comparison to the life you could have, you are virtually dead. You revoke God; that is your choice. I don't respect the decision, but I respect the free will God gave you. This was the first song we heard from you. Christian Cable on our shabby TV. It blared as loud as possible I cleaned up after a 4 and 6 year old while they were at preschool. We will be there Thursday, August 6th, 2015 to LAY EM DOWN with you and so many other amazing believers. Our daughters are now 10 and 12 year old. They have grown up with you in the background. We saw Taylor Swift in California as a family. When you were one of the opening acts, their parents (us) went wild. Ever since then, they have adapted your songs as their soundtrack for life, sharing you with their "tween" friends. We cannot wait for Thursday!!!!!!!

i was at that same place about 4 years ago James and i can say that i am a follower of christ now and by far a believer in one and only one GOD and what did it for me was the FACTS. that is something no others have. People have been trying to prove the Bible and God wrong since shortly after man was created and they cant. All the others you can name originate from the one true GOD and his holy word. I say this in nothing but Love. hell is gonna suck and i don't want to see anyone headed that way

When I came to Jesus, I imagined in my mind's eye the bridge He is building for me, and I have faith He is able to build it. I remember when I heard this song.. I was sitting in my car and I closed my eyes (dealing with stress and life choices) tired of feeling and being broken.. I lifted my hands up and began to pray and feeling my burdens being lifted . My shoulders literally felt lighter.. I love this song so much .

Would people stop arguing about the religious aspects of the song and the band? Just enjoy the music and leave everyone else alone please. I am Jewish and just enjoy the music for what it us. Religion in general, no matter which it is, teaches people to love each other and that it is what we should do. If you can't do that, then please just don't insult others on their beliefs and ideas.

I got corona in September of last year it was the very scary and then I was reminded by my beautiful and loving girlfriend that all I needed to do was ask God to deliver me from it and believe he would I walked out of the hospital one week from going in stronger then I was before I got sick. Praise our Lord for he is a good God
