Loved how Dr.Mohan did not take sides with Sunshine (as both had opposing views with the other 2 guests), instead coolly dissected Sunshine's arguments as he did with the other two. Loved his "culture/language doesn't depend on anyone.. it surpasses all of us"👏👍

I agree with Dr Mohan, I' m also a telugu child and was brought up in tamil thaaiyin madiyil in chennai, all my prayers goes only in tamil at home, bcz I studied tamil throughout & definitely it has power of expression & special manam in it.

சிந்தை சரி, கூறிய சந்தை தவறு I am in the iconoclast by Sunshine. Oh.. Poor Sunshine with Wide Powerful Thought on wrong arena.... Remember.. No one listened Jesus.. No one listened Galileo.. Actually they were killed by these kind of people... Language is a Politics Now.. You can’t change it.. The sentence *I am proud to be a Tamilan* is also belong to racism.. But not yet declared. Today this is a holy sentence. Because we need it.

vinoth natarajan You mean, 150 years back all our people, Men & women didn't wear any cloths above hip. You mean that as your kalarcharam. It changed for good. it is changing for good. People who use tamil for their survival will confuse us. SOme is worrying about his books sales.. not exceeding 1000 copies. some want to do sidha medicine.. they blame english medicine... but there is no medicine as english tamil like that...

LANGUAGE IS NOTHING BUT A TOOL TO COMMUNICATE , BUT CULTURE AND TRADITION IS SOMETHING THAT LIVES THROUGH YOU . YOU GAIN IT FROM YOUR FAMILY WAY OF LIFE AND SOCIETY . SO THIS CHANGE WE EXPERIENCE NOW IS UNSTOPPABLE AND UNDENIABLY BUT JUST BECAUSE OF THIS CHANGES OUR LANGUAGE CULTURE AND TRADITION WON'T DIE INSTEAD IT WILL ADAPT ITSELF N WILL CONTINUE TO LIVE AND WE EVOLVE BECAUSE THESE CULTURE N TRADITION AND LANGUAGE ARE NOT SOME SPERATE ENTITIES BUT US WE ARE LANGUAGE AND US AND OUR MEMORIES ARE OUR CULTURE AND TRADITION .

those all thing we still speak and follow in srilanka because we still on the old tamil where in india the tamil changed to modern and the culture is turning as well. all those games they said we stilll play. hope srilnaka doesnt changes in the future and stay and follow our culture and tradition.

It seems like they have chosen people who still have their grandparents in villages or they have only recently moved to cities. There are families like mine whose grandparents or even great grandparents were the first ones to settle down in cities. And for people like me, there is no way we would have even experienced living in thatched houses, or in sani-kazhuvina vaasal vacha house. I felt very bad that I didn't know so much! :(....Also being a Brahmin, I know only pazhamozhis with a Brahmanical language touch told to us by our grandparents....They should have called all kinds of people!!!

yeah, thats true, but when people talk about tamil culture, they naturally think from the point of tholkappiyam, since muslim culture is came from arabia/afghanisthan, its more recent in terms of culture. eg: as muslim girl wearing the black gown is a muslim culture, its not specific to tamil alone,

(ோகன் தவிர) இந்த கூட்டத்தில் சரியான தமாஷ் இந்த ஜட்ஜூக்கள் தான். நாலு வார்த்த ஒழுங்கா பேச தெரியல இவனுங்க தீர்ப்ப சொல்றேன்னு வந்துட்டானுங்க. இதுல இவனுங்கள think tank என்று சொல்லி கோபி அவர் போக்கில் ஒரு காமெடி பண்ணிவிட்டார். இதை பொங்கல் அன்று வீட்டில் கண்டு துயரம் பட்ட அணைத்து தமிழ் நெஞ்சங்களுக்கும் இந்த மூன்று மண்ணாங்கட்டிகள் வருத்தம் தெரிவிக்கவேண்டும். அதுவும் அந்த SUNSHINE இருக்கானே...அவன் கிறுக்கன் மட்டுமல்ல அடுத்தவனையும் கிறுக்கனாகும் வல்லவன்.

Mr Gopinath, do not give wrong information. Cash did not originate from Tamil work Kaasu. It is modification of Middle French or Old Italian; Middle French casse money box, from Old Italian cassa, from Latin capsa chest - more at case

Popology, please dont give too much of wrong information. Your etymology goes back only upto 1500s. "Kaasu" is from 6 BC.
