Almost 40 years and still good as new. Neil you're one of my all time favorites.

My very favorite song by Neil.... Stones.... this is the one exception I can think of his music where I prefer the original LP recording to a live concert. Almost always it's the other way around. The best example are the Hot August Night-- Live At The Greek, and Love At The Greek fm 1976.

What can anyone say about this song! The song says it all. Thank you Neil Diamond for such beautiful lyrics coupled with superb music. Thanks for posting.

@here4family I'm right there with you. I'm past feeling corny or embarrassed about speaking as to how music has held me, spit me out, caressed a heart so fucking wounded that I'm amazed it still beats at times. If it wasn't for musical memories like Neil's awesome array of massive hits and especially Gordon Lightfoot's ballads, I believe I'd have pulled the trigger long ago. Strange though, sometimes it was listening to this musical genre that put my finger there in the first place.

Congratulations to Neil on his induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame !! Way to go, Solitary Man !!
