I spent 25 years in the distribution of luxury watches, we had our own watchmakers, working on this level and far higher. I can say it s rare for most watchmakers to actually have the technical skill to manufacture broken parts well, some can, but do not want to , not confident enough, this guy is superb.

Absolutely to the lathe restoration! I was a machinist, in what seems like another life it's been so long ago, so I always enjoy seeing older machines being brought back to a good life. My wife bought me a tag Heuer electric blue chronograph for our wedding 21 years ago. I recently had it refurbished. I love that watch. I remember the first two time I needed a battery I sent it to Germany to make sure that it was still certified waterproof. I don’t mind ads. Ian am a KZfaq premium so I don’t get them anyway. This makes me feel pretty old..when I was a young salesman in the early 1990s this Hexagonal Santos Ronde was launched and my boss bought one, we were soooo jealous because it looked the mutts nuts. Now seeing one with all the problems the 1950s watches I restore have it makes me feel very old indeed!!!
