Nemesis feature in VelociDrone 1.16

Nemesis is offline racing but against flights uploaded to the velocidrone leaderboard. Nemesis will always try to place you against pilots either side of you on the leaderboard, placing you in the middle of a tough race with pilots of your ability.
You can also race individual pilots and in a coming patch just view their flights in FPV to studly lines and racing flow.

Damn designers monitor, 60hz and over 5ms response, it's not very nice to fly on. However it does mean I have fully calibrated colour for scene design.

Great covering video. One question Ash... why does it always show 'Position: 1' even when you got third place?

I did karting track racedrones classic race about 5 times, got a time of around 80s and never got uploaded to the leaderboard. Drone drag factors are standard and auto leaderboard time upload is set to auto. If I switch auto off then I can manually upload a time and it shows on the leaderboard.

I just flew through the battery recharge and prop repair gate.

VelociDrone what signifies that a gate is for recharge and prop repair , can you maybe point me to a previous video that may have this included? Just want to know what to look for. And thanks a lot

Thanks Ash. Nemesis is great fun! Question: Why does the sim revert to 35 deg camera angle every time I start fresh or change scenery? I have my preferred angle set in Quad Settings, but it (almost) always goes back to 35 degrees. Thanks!

Probably because you have a channel assigned to field of view

Leaderboard still empty when I click on it, but does upload the ghost data. Means I can’t select a pilot to race against.

Suggest you join velocidrone community facebook and show your problem by video. No other customers with this issue.

The only camera angle that makes sense for viewing a flight is the one it was flown using

@@Velocidrone well, i guess it might also make sense to view other pilot flights with a camera angle of your own, so one could be able to see what they should see if they were to emulate those flights.

If you try to view a high camea angle flight at lower angles all you will see is the ground.

@@Velocidrone 5 to 10 degree differences makes a big impact of how you feel the control of the drone, but it still allows you to see where you fly. I agree that it would be not a vital feature, but hey, i think it would be nice. But if it needs a decent amount of work to implement, then I totally agree that it's not necessary to have. Damn, a feature to see how others fly is amazing at it's own! Been waiting for that for a long time! Thanks for doing that!!! :)

How do you recharge the battery in Nemesis mode?? Recharge button doesnt work, switch on Taranis doesnt work, there are no recharge gates on many tracks, you cannot disable the batter simulation either. So how?

nemesis runs single class - battery recharge is not allowed in single class unless you fly through a recharge gate. For most tracks you should not need to recharge to complete 3 laps and if you do then go to quad settings (outside of as race) turn on battery simulation and change to a larger battery (1500 or 1800 mah).

@@Velocidrone good idea byt crazybee micro has only one option for 300mah bat. I actualy finaly managed to complete the 3 laps just in time for bat to die. Still I think the battery recharge/swap key or switch should be operational with maybe a penalty to time.

Can you make it so that we Can fly ghost from others fastest laps also?

And just do fly along with faster laps. I have a hard time finding gates sometimes when trying new tracks. It would be cool to fly along and see where the good line is while learning where the gates are.

Fly and submit times, often the lower end of the leaderboard (before you submit a time) the flights are too long to be taken by the server and so are blank.
