When my buddy Brendan reached out and asked if I wanted to come down to drive the Nemo Tunnel Jeep Trail, I of course said yes and made my way to Tennessee. This has been high on my list for a long time now and for good reason. It is not every day that you get to drive a nearly a half mile underground with your rig! I can tell you that it lived up to the hype. And to cap things off, the Catoosa Wildlife Management Area is right around the corner and offers endless wheeling in some remote Tennessee mountains. I hope you enjoy the video and next up will be content from Michigan!!

My family lives near Catoosa and although I haven't been there for several years, we spent a lot of time at Nemo just watching the trains come shooting out of the tunnels. I drove my brand new Explorer I'd had for like a week, through the tunnel and I parked near the trestle. As the train cars were zooming by, I thought I would see if I could toss a piece of gravel up and inside one of the cars...it hit the side of the train and came shooting back right at the windshield of the Explorer! I told my wife (and the insurance company) that a piece of rock flew off a dump truck I was following. Live and learn...

Love that tunnel. If you go back there's still a good 1.5 miles of trails you missed that go up the cliff side to a cave like opening and back down to the parking area. where you went back into the tunnel the second time, keep to the right side and pass the tunnel to get to the other trail.

I want to take my wife and 2 daughters through it they never been I live in Wartburg. I been through Nemo and the tunnel to the right when you come out of that one a little ways down you have to walk it. @@LifeOutdoors yup. I am in a still mostly stock tacoma TRD offroad with 30" ATs... I am seriously considering waiting a few more weeks for that late summer dry spell, but I think I might take a trip out that way before too long to do some recon and check the water levels. everything else around there I have no doubt I am good for, but not feeling so confident about keeping the carpet dry when the water level is up.
