Күн бұрынWhiting fishing in the Nerang River has always been enjoyable - actually fishing anywhere is always enjoyable but the view to the high rises and multi million dollar houses is a great backdrop for a relaxing day in the boat.
I went for a Saturday morning session in the Nerang River - 90% of the time I was fishing at the Council Chambers and I found the quality of the whiting to be as good as I have experienced in recent years. While the weather was a little humid - I only got a little wet from a passing shower.

Nice catch John, if only the worms were easier to come by or they bit as well on yabbies..

30 - 45 minutes and you will have enough worms for a session. They catch them on yabbies but I really can't comment much about them because I have never fished with them in the Nerang or Coomera Rivers.

Wow! Great catch John! A beautiful 39cm Whiting!! It looked like he fully loaded that rod! What pound line are you running?

I fish with 6lb line when fishing for whiting or bream.

You could probably Google Council Chambers but basically it is the the stretch of river that runs parallel with Ouyan Street on the Gold Coast

I only use Cribb Island blood worms when fishing for whiting
