Man the thing with the Night King resurrecting the dead in the crypts is actually getting on my nerves now. There are a couple of reasons why I think it's a ridiculous worry: 1. Yes, there may be dead down there, however there's probably only like 30 bodies down there that aren't just decayed to just skeletons. And I'm unsure as to if the NK can wight something that's literally just bones. 2. We've never seen a body out in the open in the crypts. Even if the NK resurrected all of them, I don't think they should logically be able to do any harm. In season 7 we saw a wight be contained in the Hound's wooden box, and these dead Starks are presumably buried in coffins, either behind the stone walls or under the stone floors/their stone statues. I really cannot see how a wight would be able to escape from a coffin under those circumstances, and that's still only even if the NK even bothers to resurrect them in the first place.

Low key kinda want Melissandre to turn up with a fleet of priests on broomsticks and just burn the whole wight army lol

This crypt theory is so confusing. The dead in the crypts are in stone tombs. If the wight couldn’t get out of a wooden box (when they brought it south of the wall) how are the dead supposed to break out of their tombs?

Also I really don’t think the Night King is headed to King’s Landing. First there’s the logistics of that. It took how long for the night king to get his wights to Winterfell? If he has split his forces and taken some south, it’s going to take him a LONG time to get there. Not practical. And that vision of the dragon over the city can’t be him either. The NK brings a winter storm wherever he goes.

Major clue: Night King ‘doesn’t’ go south during battle of winterfel. NK brings dark clouds and storms with snow where ever he goes. Clips from ep3 trailer shows snow in the background which indicates NK is at battle of winterfell. He just appears later making a grand entrance. Major clue 2. Can you imagine GOT would label ‘greatest battle in cinematic history/battle of winterfell’ which doesn’t involve the NK?!

The reason they are in the crypts, is because its said to be enchanted like the 3 eyed ravens cave. The wights shouldn't be able to enter the crypt without first having the night king mark someone who enters.

Im not getting this resurrected kings of winter thing. The bodies are either just bones or completely dust at this point. In the books they mention by book 3 ned is nothing but bones, so i cant imagine bodies dead for 100s of years would be in any shape for fighting

I don't think the NK will resurrect the dead in the crypts. I think the dead in the crypts are there for a reason. There are 8k years of Starks buried there for a reason, and it's not to help the NK defeat Winterfell. They're there to help keep Winterfell safe. We may not see that in the show, it may be in the books.

As someone already mentioned in a reply and I’m honestly really surprised Aaron hasn’t mentioned this but in the books when Ned is down in the crypts he is thinking about how each crypt has an iron sword in each nook to keep the spirit from leaving. Ned notes that some of the swords have rusted away and wonders if they still work or if new ones should be put in. It’s never mentioned in the show but I can see it being a quick throw away line from Sansa when someone expresses that same concern ETA: it would make sense that originally the northerners buried their dead with the swords to keep the Night King from raising their dead and with time the legend turned to keep their spirit at bay

This is season 8, there are no throw away scenes, aint no one got time for dat!

People complain about "fan service" then complain when they get it. Bron is the perfect example; the only reason he is still in the show was that his double act with Tyrion made him so popular with the viewers. But to maintain integrity Bron *must* be true to his character - that of a sell-sword for whom the rewards are all that matters. No, he wouldn't just cold-bloodedly murder an infant baby when so ordered.... he'd ask how much he was getting paid first. He already made it clear to both brothers that their relationship wasn't based on friendship, he was a mercenary and it all comes down to money. So fans wanting Bron to come over all wishy-washy and throw away his castle and wagon-load of gold is both absurd and unrealistic. If he doesn't at least make the attempt to kill one or both Lannister brothers I will feel the writers have badly bottled it because of unrealistic fan expectation being serviced.

I think Arya asking and wanting to know how the dead fight, move could be her planning a faceless man moment again. How cool to see her become a white walker to blend and fight that way

i would love to see Stannis in the army of the dead since he died near WInterfell.... her flesh maybe decomposed maybe slow due the cold but his bones and armor still
